Nope, was there for a whole week smile Really crowded place, you could walk from end to end in less than an hour. Food was great, though the only "local" food I was able to taste was the curry. Ah well.

Lotsa Filipinos there too. Filipinos are everywhere.

Now, now, that would be cheating!

I've been to Kyoto too, but only for a little more than half a day (Nara took up the other half). Hardly enough time for such a magnificent city...

Nope, went there with friends earlier this year. A pleasant place, with some pretty good food, but the main draw IMO is nearby Mount Kinabalu.

This wasn't a trick question! My family used to vacation there every year. Also passed through earlier this year to get to some of the mountains up north.

Stayed there for 3 days, and had the time of my life exploring the ruins of Angkor. One of the places I would definitely visit again!

Been to the "cultural center" called Yogyakarta earlier this year. Besides being the jump-off point for Borobudur and Prambanan, Yogyakarta has its own share of old palaces and temples (and the food was great!)

Been to Shanghai - 3 nights or so, on a stopover to the ice city of Harbin, right smack at the border between China and Russia. Both are fascinating in their own right, I can still remember the biting cold in Shanghai (which was warmer than the negative 20 degree weather in Harbin!)

Right, that doesn't leave much. So I'll pick one and leave the lucky winner with a no brainer.:)

But you ARE the lucky winner! I visited Hanoi on a Ho Chi Minh City-Siem Reap-Hanoi tour, and had a blast hanging with the locals during the Mid-autumn Festival (one even invited me to have a simple dinner with him by Hoan Kiem Lake).

Bangkok, I am due to visit with Blaze for the first time ever (for both of us)! I'm really excited, been wanting to go there for years!

So thothkins, over to you.

yikes, this might have been the only question since I've joined. A moment to go back and look at others...

Nearly all our questions are in this same format smile The number of choices vary, as does the number of correct answers (some require you to pick the correct 2 or 3 answers!) Kent did a matching game once where you had to match 1-8 with a-h, but few of us do that since it takes a lot of time smile

A nice easy, read short, one to get me started.

With Halloween approaching more quickly than a jet powered broomstick, the cat and her familiar, thothkins, have been watching horror movies.

In tribute to the Italian thread, thothkins has looked out a film with some Dario Argento input for this evening. But which one?

a) Dawn of the Dead
b) Suspira
c) Deep Red
d) Demons 1
e) Demons 2

alas not. I have it, but I fear it's a very edited version. So, I'm going to get a proper one before I watch it again.
