Maybe Garth married Imra so that she'd stop wearing that pink bikini out in public, and just wear it when they were alone wink

I don't think the sleek one really fit his personality.

Hmmm, I always thought the sleek one worked well for him. Not sure if it was the colors, but it just seemed so classic to me.

The solo issue on Lythyl really showed the sleek one off well. If he'd been wearing the road kill version, the locals would have choked him with it. It's just not as practical.

and they have fleas, judging by Londo's comments. smile

I wish I could locate the source but I know I read somewhere, and I thought it was a quote from Cockrum, that Colossal Boy and Element Lad's new 1973/74 costumes were not intended to be worn by those guys. CB's, with the big bird emblem was supposedly intended for Ultra Boy and E Lad's with that big arrow motif was supposed to go to Colossal boy; somehow they were switched and went to the wrong wearer. IIRC, Grell took over at this time and mixed them up ???

The arrow makes a lot more sense for Colossal Boy than it does for Element Lad, that's for sure! I always wondered what the arrow had to do with transmutation.

Eighties Element Lad was known to dress for Halloween as Harpo. He already had the correct hair, more or less.

It was really weird seeing Jeckie play against type in the Thelma Todd role. But I think that Colossal Boy's Mom already had kind of a Margaret Dumont-ish streak...

It could only be Chameleon Boy, the master of infiltration, behind a Groucho Marx disguise.

Ah, so that's what the arrow thing was about. Was the eagle meant to be more of a dragon, to better fit Ultra Boy's origin, I wonder.

I quite liked that costume on Element Lad too.
