Heh. A client I have seems to always be barely conscious during meetings, but that's because whenever there IS a meeting (which THEY ask for), they can barely tear themselves away from their laptops or phones long enough to actually pay attention. Whoop-de-doo!

The last meeting I had to attend... All I can say is: A person expects their boss to lie constantly but it just amps the insult level up tenfold when the boss is a terrible liar. As in so bad that a Boston Fern or a three-year-old could see right through it. Feh.

Not even covered the minutes from the last meeting, never mind the agenda points of this one. :-)

ah the top brass. I was watching a foreign film that translated something to that expression ... and i wondered if it made sense in their language ... if commanders in their country wore brass.
plus. 80s.

Every 2 years I have to take 24 hours (3 days) of insurance classes to keep my licenses up to date. It's the most brutal, boring time period of the year. I usually spend them scribbling pages and pages of notes so it looks like I'm working but what I'm actually doing is testing myself if I can remember the name & home planet of every Legionnaire, or list who the villains are in every issue of Amazing Spider-Man (got all the way to #207 with only 3-4 that may have been out of order).
I also start remembering all the tricks I knew from high school: 15 minute breaks become 30 minute ones; 30 minute long bathroom trips during class; lunch becomes an hour and 20 minutes; take extra long to go fill up my coffee cup.

Our 2-hour meetings with this certain client usually stretch to 3 or 4 hours because: a) they're late b) they ask us to repeat things we discussed previously c) they go off on tangents and segue into topics which don't even involve us d) they love to eat, so when the food shows up their attention spans stop working <--- The Top Brass. Check out my hair. brass. Could someone call Captain Britain? This Sat-Yr-Nine infection needs cleared out... I don't suppose you have his phone number? Is there a Captain Britain-signal that the police use?

<--- The Top Brass. Check out my hair. brass. Honey, you're still new to this XX gig, aren't you? "Brassy" is good in attitude, but bad in hair color. WE NEED A HAIR CONSULT, STAT!

Is there a Captain Britain-signal that the police use? Perhaps a dedicated phone booth?

Wouldn't it be funny if Clark Kent were using that booth to change into Superman, when in walks Meggan or Psylocke to give Captain Britain a call?

A phone booth that fits 2 would have to be bigger on the inside....

I smell a delightful crossover in the making.
And they could hold long, boring meetings with cavemen and big-brained future people!
