It’s an old story, one that crosses all cultures and all times…

Boy Meets Girl
Boy fancies girl
Boy forces girl into team he runs – despite moans from everyone else
Boy is overprotective towards girl
Boy is blob of energy and girl is unfulfilled by relationship
Boy gets energy body
Boy attempts to kiss girl
Girl is treated for first degree burns

Drake Burroughs kept falling apart, and not only in the sense of pining for Dawnstar. But there was another character. Someone who had managed to pull herself together. Someone who could no doubt have taught Wildfire to do the same.

Ironically, Drake Burroughs, the person who keeps an eye out for new Legion talent must have been indulging in extra whining/pining on the day this applicant turned up.

Just think of the progress he would have made with both Null Girl and Quislet.

Wildfire's origin issue:

We've got a long history of making up cool stories around those various cool background characters! Null Girl definitely sounds fun!

That was the picture with a Bat-Girl looking character as well, wasn't it? The dark skinned fellow in the green costume to Null Girl's right is also intriguing, although the squiggly tentacle-slimer between them I could do without. A little *too* alien for me!

Thanks. I've found the alternate Legionnaire thread. Here, It's just showing a possible link, hopefully without quite crossing over.

Oh, I was encouraging it. We've analyzed the dickens out of earlier pictures (such as all those twenty or so unnamed recruits from a previous edition), but haven't really gone over that specific picture and speculated on 'Batgirl 3000' and 'Null Girl' and those others!

I have had a devil of a time finding things with search today, but here's a few threads devoted to chatting about other nameless background characters.

Plus I toyed around with Baxter 38's 'Tiger Girl' and Energy Boy and 'Skreaks,' in the Heroes of Other Worlds thread.

Thanks very much for the links. My results with the site search engine have been a little varied, so I'm always half expecting a "we took a vote that the next person to post this on our boards would be shown daytime TV until their brain melted. You will be visited shortly with the best of Jeremy Kyle."

Ah, I'd got the bits of one, and added to that, but look forward to the... hey, is that Kent Shakespeare there? wow. I must have a gap there.

Yeah, it took me all day to get those links. The page kept timing out.

Probably my fault for trying to do Searches on an older computer while playing Star Wars the Old Republic, watching The Bridge and random other stuff... smile

Thanks for going to all that trouble. I have the Heroes of Other worlds thread open to look at as well. There are a couple of things that leapt out at me, so I'll take a look to see if I'm going over old ground.

Yes, we know it's nucking fooceless too. Even UBB know it - unfortunately, while the next update (that's meant to fix it) may get here before the next Ice Age, it's a close-run thing.

Don't worry, we'd start you off slow with Bargain Hunt and Perfection. Jeremy Kyle's some levels down tongue

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It would have been in Brainy's lab verbally abusing him if it had been Celeste smile
