You know Peebz---er, Power Boy, eh? he's a great, great friend of mine, you know.

"HERE'S YOUR COFFEE...COBALT CAD!!" yells the barista behind the counter, a space hipster named Charlene.

"Er, ah...thanks?" says a confused and sheepish Cobalt Kid. As he's walking away, he suddenly remembers her.

Spotting Lardy, he hangs back, not wanting to salt his game.

<notices Cobie and realizes why he's keeping clear>

<thinks> Is that what's happening here? Is that what I hope is happening? But....Ann....?

<sniff sniff> Do you smell that? Smells like sheep?

Anyway ... er yes ... show me this Academy. Here is my card. I am staying near Thora, also a good friend of mine.

<Regally waves the barista over to her table>

Tell me about this Academy, it sounds like a nobel endeavor. I heard an old colleague of mine is teaching there ... a Rond Vidar.

Rond? Sure, he's teaching the science classes! Doing a great job....great job.... <he's totally not interested in talking about Rond>

Anyhow, the Academy's purpose is to train young people to use their super powers properly and responsibly. Some may evenly join the LMB proper. But mainly, we just want them to come out of the other side sure of themselves and ready for what the universe has to offer.

Best friends, yep. We fought with Peebz--and practically everyone else--in the Oval War. I suppose you could say we...started it, almost?

<sets her tea cup down on the table. It smells of jasmine and citrus>

How does one, start, an inter dimensional war of god like proportions of the like that has never been seen?

<Harmonia's tone and face have changed to become stern and biting. Paladin can't help but answer.>

<sips hot cocoa and thinks out his response> "Started it"....well, I misspoke. The more correct way to put it is that we took the fight to the Oval before they were ready to bring it to us. As devastating as their attack was, it would have been worse if we hadn't taken out the Dominion, the Emperor Pyngwyn and the Hive before the massive onslaught began. <shudders> In fact we would have lost. It was a close squeeze as it was....

*walks in and spots Harmonia. Not wanting to be suspicious, he nonchalantly ignores her.

Not even Cobalt Kid or Paladin notice the sudden change in his breathing. Carefully controlling himself, he sits at a table.

The scent of Harmonia's perfume tickles his senses.

Nobody can ever know.*

<Harmonia finished her tea. She suddenly felt uncomfortable for some reason.>

Well, I must be going now my Paladin. I would very much like to see your Academy soon.

<She holds her hand out for Paladin to kiss>
