So what's going on here? Is there a lost tale waiting to be told?

I miss the classic Blue Devil. He was fun and interesting, not the Demon wannabe that they turned him into.

Yeah, I was going to add a picture in there of the demonic Blue Devil, but I felt the original would still do the trick. Besides, when the character's creator fails to recognise anything about the revised version, it's possibly best avoided.

Now we just need the untold story.

Trapped in his suit, Devil survives either until the migration from Earth, or through the Great Wars.

He's remembered as a hero to the people of Kol. So great, his face adorns one of their shrines. Perhaps he helped form their community or led them to it or died for it's people?

"He rescued millions."

But perhaps he was still haunted about never being able to be human again. A deep sadness that permeates his legend. There's always a part of him that feels apart.

His reputation reaches across what would be the founding planets of the UP. It's a legend so strong that it may survive centuries.

Who knows how many worlds he was involved in fighting for? He was certainly involved in mystical adventures, considering where his face has ended up (possibly his very being).

Those who set up the Shanghalla shrine took only minor artistic license with the image, or perhaps the Devil Suit altered slightly through events or time.

On Shanghalla, like Quasimodo is often remembered as the Hunchback, the Blue Devil is remembered as Hate Face.

I love Dan Cassidy, in fact I have an archive page ove on FB dedicated to him. I have talked with Paris, Dan and Gary about the character (Gary very little), but have talked to Paris about several things. Some of which I hope to still have happen.

I need to get back in touch with him. Dan Mishkin is one hell of a nice guy (have met him a few times at cons and a local Library/comics promotion he does here in Michigan.

I'd love to explore The Blue Devils role in the Legions time.

Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Should the Legion ever visit Dracksler* then a nice touch would be to have the leading authority there carry some sort of trident as a badge of office.

*not on the memorial, but referred to my ME Lad in v4.

What about the Blue Devil in Gail Simone's Legion story? Daughter, wannabe?

Then there's Demon Damsel. In Kingdom Come, she's linked with the Legion.

She has wings too. Perhaps Dawny did return to Kol. Perhaps she uncovered the Blue Devil and Dawny ended up with him after Jhodan's plot contrived snuffing. Could Demon Damsel be their kid?!
