...am working on a new project... designing the invitations for my in-laws' 50th anniversary wedding vow renewal.

50 years! Just... wow!

lol, If you added up all the years of marriage in my family generation, I don't know if it would add up to 50. There might BE 50 marriages, given how many are on their 3rd or 4th but I don't think the years would add to 50.

Sounds like a good project for next family get-together.

Congrats to the in-laws, BTW.

... went home early for the first time in a couple weeks.

...still hate doing the dishes as much as I did yesterday.

...cooked scrambled eggs for supergirlie (formerly superbaby) for breakfast. She usually doesn't like eggs scrambled but that's what she wanted. She actually ate them!

... tried to teach our dog how to sit. she ignored me and walked away.

...have dirt under my fingernails, but didn't let that stop me from mixing myself a post-yardwork cocktail. (Campari™ and OJ-- FTW!)

... had some very, very good lamb cannelloni.

...will be making spaghetti.

...found out I have to wait almost 2 weeks to have something done with this kidney stone I have

...went out for a nice work lunch, but couldn't go to an evening thing because I had Halloween paper craft to make.

...changed my mind about the spaghetti. Noodle another day.

... ditched most of my weekend plans because my body still hurts from the flu.

... spent some quality time with my parents.

...noodled.

... made ceviche.

... celebrated a friend's birthday.

...helped some friends get married. But I left the reception as they started playing "Blurred Lines" and before they played "What Does the Fox Say?"

... tried very hard to erase "Blurred Lines" and "What Does the Fox Say" from my memory banks.

Maybe I can supersede them if I listen to Savage Garden's Hold Me and The Calling's Our Lives some more.

...bought a Christmas decoration in violation of all I hold sacred. But they were the only two of that type, and I didn't really get any last year and...>sigh<

On the plus side, I've not heard "What does the Fox Say" and I've not seen the Blurred Lines video either. Woman getting paid to get her clothes off so that men can pose around her pretending to look cool, doesn't really appeal to me.

... succeeded in muting the mental memories of those two songs, thankfully. I really hate listening to Robin Thicke's falsetto.

(there's a parody of the Blurred Lines video out there with men taking their clothes off and women standing around to look "cool". haven't seen it either though).

They all come across as pitiful when I see anything like that.

... had some macadamia nuts today. Oh yeah!

Finished silly hours and silly travelling. Back to normal for next week.
