Don't forget/forgive Joe Staton either. I knew the usually-great Steve Englehart wrote the story but I wasn't aware Bates was involved.

I once sat down with a small webster's and went through, page by page trying to find words that would make cool character names. Somehow, Snowflame never showed up. But, I did think "The Commode" was probably the crappiest I could come up with.

I only recently discovered "I Eat Cannibals" through another YouTube video. Hard to believe it was released in 1983, the same year Billy Joel, the Police, and Stevie Nicks were dominating the chart. The song was a hit in England and South Africa, but reached a paltry No. 66 here in the U.S. (Incidentally, the group's name was changed to Total Coelo here to avoid confusion with Toto.)
Funny the things you miss out on and get to discover decades later.
