The Megalo-Mart tricked me into buying mini-bananas yesterday. They had them labeled as being about seventy cents a pound cheaper than they were when I got to the checkout line.

And by that time, I just wanted to get home with my newly-purchased painkillers ASAP, so I didn't bother to complain. (Yeah, I'm that much of a rube.)

Oh, and this is the last time I'm letting Lard Lad cater any LMB luncheons!

LT, for the price of a mid-range bottle of tequila and a dozen fresh limes, the first-ever LMB collage commission could be yours...

Amongst other achievements, the 20th Century deserves credit for spreading "local" cuisine all over the country, but relieved of pesky seasonings or anything else that might actually make that cuisine interesting. Hey, we'll market Bananas Foster to the masses but without butter, liqueur, spices, fire, or anything else cool! Go, USA!

P.S.- As for Maraschino cherries, they belong in the flavor Hall of Shame along with Iceberg Lettuce, White "Chocolate", and those styrofoam "baby" carrots. Bleah.

My breakfast lately is a delightful ensemble of oats, pomegranate juice, blueberries, walnuts, sunflower seeds, dried currants...and a nanner. Microwaved for 3 minutes.

Blaze and I had pancakes topped with bananas, honey, yogurt and peanut butter a while back. Relatively healthy, and good!

This morning, I made some banana-walnut bread. Then I went outside to putter in the yard. Now I'm enjoying my reward along with the last of this morning's iced coffee before I wash up and head out to work.

I love the flavor of bananas, but HATE THE TEXTURE. I feel like I'm going to gag every time I try to eat one, though I love them frozen. XD Any suggestions?

Turon - bananas, sometimes with jackfruit or mango, wrapped in a spring roll and fried with caramelized brown sugar.

Good for a sugar rush!

Do you have a good one? A lot of them that i've tried don't actually taste very good. Either that or they're soggy. BLEH.

And IB! I've had Turon before! I made them here at home and LOOOVED THEEEEEMMM. I actually...put peanut butter in mine. XD
