Gave a belated Happy Birthday to Legion Tracker and vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, organized some household mayhem all for no particular reason. Also paid off all (hopefully) of my Ma's medical bills, found out I own a house, had a snickers bar (king size) and watched Netflix.

... woke up late and felt bad because I was nowhere near as productive as BB was

Cool! Was that your first meet-up with Ex and BB? (I know/think you'd already met Seymour.)

Come to think of it, was this BB's first meeting with any LMBers?

Yeah. Habve met SS before, but not Ex and BB.

...am having an od day emotionally. Had a great time yesterday, but included in that was information from my wife about a young lady we know from a church we went to.

She is 17 and currently in ICU on a ventilator. Unable to breathe in her own and showing no brain activity at all. She is a very special young lady to us. Jon would only go to her in nursery when he was in there. He adored her, and we call her his first crush/love. She was also a mentor to Hannah through the plays that Hannah did at that church. We are friends with her parents who are some of the nicest people you could ever want to meet.

So...I am having a hard time dealing with some things today at times. They are currently dealing with the Doctors/Insurance saying that there is nothing more that can be done...and are looking for them to decide (as her parents) to pull her from the ventilator.

Don't know how you do that as a parent.

Sorry man, you're out of luck there. SS is only three inches shorter than me, and BB is taller than Ex.

Sorry of your conflict Dev. Having now met you, I can tell you are the type on which this would weigh heavily. Having recently made a similar decision for my Ma, the needs are fresh. Your friends will find peace as a family. Just be near. Your friends will be ever grateful to know how important the young lady is and will remain to your family and that you are there if needed. I'm really sorry to hear that, Dev. She sounds like a very special person. I'm sure her family will appreciate the support and compassion which you are undoubtedly giving them.

Now that things are unpacked and household needs are handled, I've been enjoying reading about the BB/Dev/Ex/SS meetup.

Sorry to hear about Dev's friend though. Praying for that family...and for Dev.

...am really sad tonight. Lindsey, the young lady I mentioned yesterday passed away this morning. As a parent, my heart breaks for my friends. Tears coming and going today.

Sorry to hear about that, Dave. And all caused by meds she was prescribed? So senseless.

My condolences, brother. So sorry to hear.

Not sure if it was the meds. She had ben having issues for the last year or so. Will have to wait to find out exactly what the causes were. If the meds had anything to do with it...or if it was something that was going to happen no matter what (i.e. the kid running down the basketball court that falls over dead due to something that was hidden.)
