Not too dreadful. It's filling up most of 2 shortboxes. For whatever reason Adventure 369 is poking up high enough from the lid-less box for me to read the speech bubbles on the cover. Mordru's so showy.
Everything is more-or-less in order although the front bit of box 2 has various minis, guest appearances, et cetera in no discernable order. I got a stack of cheap-bin Baxter a little bit ago and I may or may not have interfiled them correctly with the reprints. And I keep forgetting where the 1st 3 annuals go, so I typically have to hunt for them.
I still have some quarter box buys in various stacks that need to be filed. All my current series issues are in those too...which oughta tell you how long it's been.
PS: as for content, respectable showings for v2, v3, TMK, and The Legion. No v1, Lost, or Action.

I think I'm in three or four long boxes. I have all the issues through present including Adv. #247 minus a few Adventures (less than 10) and a couple of Action (maybe three). Don't know the actual issue numbers missing off hand. I really need to get into the collection and update my lists.
I also have every issues and the majority of special appearances electronically on top of all the archives except for #6 and #12.

Mine are on just over 2 shelves of a 30 inch wide bookcase. I have everything except Adv #247 plus I'm not sure if I have all of the minor appearences.

4 1/2 shortboxes, plus the tabloids and Archives minus vol.s 9 and 12.
I'm missing Adventure 301, 304, 309, 314-6, and 319, alot of the Supergirl stuff in Action, all the Jimmy Olsen's and Lois Lanes, and Amazing World/DC 9 and 12. I also don't have teh dot.Legion series past #11.
I really need to run off another copy of the AR Legion list and see what I need to look for.

Oh yeah, most of my Legion comics aren't bagged. Most of my collection is, but I need this stuff available for easy ref.

I have everything from the Great Darkness saga onward--in terms of story, at least. When the book split into two (the first time--not the second LSH/Legionairres thing), I--GASP!-- stopped collecting the Legion for a while because I was student and extremely broke at the time. Subsequently, I did catch up story wise through the Tales of the Legion (after it stopped featuring original stories and only showed reprints) and resumed collecting. As for the question of how much space my collection takes up, I think it fits into two large boxes. None of my issues are bagged or boarded either, so don't feel too bad, Thriftshop Debutante. By the way, for those of you living in British Commonwealth countries: have a good May 24 long- weekend! Long live the Legion and the current Queen of England!
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

I've got about 5 short boxes filled, about 650 or so, plus about 15-25 duplicates.
Missing just under half of Adventure, most Action, a a few of Superboys (pre-98 and a couple Cockrums), 3 Who's Who in LSH, 3 Universe Ablaze and assorted guest appearances, especially Silver (but I've done well on Jimmy Olsens!).
I've also started moving some out-of-continuity stuff over to the LSH boxes, like the Ambush Bug special, a JLE annual, Sergio Aragones Destroys DC, the DC Samplers, etc.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

emmm, never actually counted. I think about three long boxes, every issue from about ADV 320s up to near the end of DNA. Somewhere I'm pretty sure I have the prized Bouncing Boy wedding and Ambush Bug. Have most of the cross overs not involving Teen Titans. I'm sure there are some one shot appearances I don't have. Mostly I think I have everything important to continuity?
Quite a wild ride. Summer is my reread time. I must get around to picking which era I'll read this summer. I might actually pick the DNA. Don't think I've reread that one yet.

I have half of Adventure Comics from 300 to 380 (missing mostly from #300 to #330) and all Superboy guest-appearances then from #197 to now, including mini-series of Secrets of LSH, Cosmic Boy, Timber Wolf, Legionnaires 3, Inferno, etc and also Elseworlds's Superboy's Legion, all Heroclix Legion figures, PVC figures, Action Figures, 7-11 Slurpees (Brainiac 5, Mon-El, Lightning Lad, Cosmic Boy, Superboy, Supergirl), all Legion Archives, Pocket Heroes Legionnaires, Amazing World of DC Heroes. whew I am sure that I am missing several issues.

2 long boxes, plus part of a top wall shelf for ALL the Archives. I began buying regular with S&LSH 241, bought back-issues back to around 220, and kept buying new ones as they came out-- non-stop-- through multiple BAAAAAAAAAAAD periods-- until about 2 months ago. I just have NO interest whatsoever in what's going on right now.

I have one of those white book shelves, it looks like it's about 30". My collection takes two shelves and I have all the archives, which take up about half a shelf.
I have only a handful of Adventure comics, I have most of the Action comics (maybe all, I have to double check). However, because I have the archives, I don't care about getting Adventure or Action comics anymore. I have all the Superboy comics that featured the Legion including the Cockrum issues. I own all of the Legion proper series issues since then, up til now. I have several of their guest appearances in other series, but I'm missing several. I also need to print out an AR list so I can be sure to fill in what I don't have. Some major holes in my collection would include the whole Valor series and the dot Legion. However, I've never felt the urgency to go get those.
I do have a couple random stacks of comics around the house, which really need to be put in their proper places, so those 2 shelves I mentioned might actually be closer to 3 shelves. I've got plastic sleeves on "important" issues, like #1's and the GDS, and some others, but the bulk of the comics are unbagged.
I own all of the action figures and the founders Hero Clix. I own those mini figures, too, and the figurines in the clubhouse box. What else...? The post cards, the stickers, random trading cards, the Outpost book, the Companion, That Damn Tabloid, but not the one that was only reprint stuff inside (even though the Grell cover is worth it alone). I don't have those role playing game resource books. I believe the TMK one had fairly vital information in it.
Yeah, the AR list would be great. I remember at one point Scott offered me a link or a file or something, but it didn't work or it wasn't easy or somesuch. Is there anyway we can post an AR list here at LegionWorld? That'd be GREAT!

Virtually everything but Adv 247. I'm missing less than 10 of the earliest Legion appearances, including minor appearances per the aforementioned AR Legion Checklist.
I only have the first 4 archives, as I have all the actual issues from then onward I never made a point to shell out upwards of $50 a pop for the others.
My Legion collection is in about 5 long boxes, all boarded and bagged, and it is divided into their different eras, and titles. So Valor, L.E.G.I.O.N., Wanderers, even Karate Kid all have their own subsection. I even divide the Annuals and Mini-Series' into their own categories.
I got real anal about Legion about 10 years ago, so much so that I got two copies of any "regular" DC book that I collected that featured a Legion guest appearance. One copy would go with that title, say Flash, and the other copy would go in the "Minor Appearances" tab of my Legion collection. The Legion books are the first couple of rows worth of books in my comic book room (a.k.a. walk-in closet).
I also have a magazine size box full of Legion related merchandise (7-11 cups, trading cards, etc.). My Legion T-Shirts are all in my dresser, and well worn out. I'd say it's time for a new one DC!!!

It would be much easier to do in HTML.

Mine is mostly contained within two boxes used for photocopier paper, my prefered method of storage. There's a stack of stuff that would fill up another half box and then some atop those, and everything from LSH125 to the present is in a LARGE stack (Taller than me at this point) of comics which needs to be sorted and boxed.
The boxes contain everything from LSH Annual #1 to LSHv4 125, which is a completed run. The stuff on top is everything I have before the annual.

I now have every Legion issue published from "Superboy" 225 (1977) to "LSH" v3 n63 (1989), which was both Levitz's era (with interruptions) and Dawnstar's principal era. I also have the various miniseries (though not the longer "Karate Kid"), That Damn Tabloid, several digests, "Crisis" and as many of its crossovers as I could find (all, I know, that had Dawnstar), and the original edition of the "Great Darkness" TPB with the Giffen mini-poster.
Before that, I own only a half-dozen or so scattered issues from the '60s and '70s, though I've read more than that. After that, about 10 issues up to Zero Hour (ditto on reading more), about 8 from the first reboot, about 12 from DnAnO, and the whole of the new reboot starting with the "Teen Titans / Legion Special."
I have the Dawnstar figure from the RPG pewter figure set, the two "LSH" v3 world-books and two modules from Mayfair Games, The Legion Companion, and The Best of the Legion Outpost.
I own one page each of published Legion art by James Sherman, Jim Janes, and Steve Lightle, and original Dawnstar renditions by several other artists, comics pros and others.
And that's it, amigos mios. I'm not into the action figures or the ephemera. More than a few fans have, tied mostly to my winged interests, and less than nearly all of the rest of you.
The comics, along with the few others I've cared enough to keep, just now have reached the point of filling up three short-boxes. Only a handful of rarities or more expensive buys are bagged and boarded. I've found that such storage gets in the way of reading -- and above all, for me, comics are meant to be read. Not to be put behind a thin, or CGC-thick, piece of plastic.

Well.. I have from Superboy 197 to the present all in original version. The 11 Archives collection. All my Adventure era are in Spanish version, Superman comic Book Novaro from Mexico. But I have some of the originals in digital version. And the giant size with the Imra & Garth's wedding in Spanish version from Bruguera, Spain. (Bad copy and ugly colors).

I haven't kept count.
Most of the stuff is bagged, boarded, shortboxed, and in storage in another city.
The more recent stuff is in various bags around the place here.

I have every issue from #267 up until the end of volume #4. I don't have much of the post Zero Hour Legion maybe a dozen issues until DnA/Coipel. I had their entire last series from #1.
Gonna buy the archives but the latest Cockrum/Grell stuff. Don't think i would be into the stuff before that really...maybe the Jim Shooter stuff.

I have almost all from Jim Shooter up, with about three 70's issues and 2 Levitz issues missing from the collection (one being part 3 of Great Darkness, even though I have the TPB anyway, which is better color).
Before Shooter, I'm missing about ten issues, mostly from before #300, although I recently bought a few on ebay. All in all, I have every Legion appearance except about 15 issues over the years (mostly early Silver Age) throughout their entire run.

It's probably easier to tell you what I don't have...
I don't have either of the tabloids or the HC archives 5,6, and 12. I don't have the original Adventure Era runs but I only started collecting in 1998. I'm missing very few AR appearances... the early Wonder Woman one and an early Superman one (Don't make me pull out the AR list, OK?).
Other than that I've got every AR appearance that was on the list bagged and boarded starting with No. 259 and continuing on through the latest issue.
The one thing that I'm missing at this point that I would kill for, but not pay $600 for is the Alex Ross Litho. I have all of the posters except for the latest promo for Waid and Kitson's run. Don't get me started on action figures.

In the study (aka the third bedroom) I have two shelves running along the short and long wall on which I have may legion comics all bagged and boarded and separated into magazine boxes by year.
Following my recent trip to the USA i now only need 21 or so issues from the above mentioned AR list to have all appearances.
I have just got a load of figures so only need one or two of those.

I shudder to think. I probably have my fair number of Adventure issues bagged an in a box. From that point on we're talking about anywhere from piled in the closet to rolling around the trunk of my car. Seriously. I grabbed a bunch out a few months ago or maybe longer to look some things up and never put them back up. But I buy to read, not "collect" so I'm almost ok with it, though my inner 14 year old is simply aghast. At least I haven't started using them for coasters like my dad did with one of my X-Men once.

Well, I have every Adventure Era appearance (some duplicated)...most of thempurchased with my allowance at the time of printing ), every Action appearance, most Jimmy Olsen appearances, and everything in S/LSH through about 320 then it's sporadic. I've picked up a good bit of those as well as the Legion/Legionnaires boot through eBay but really need to sit down one day soon and make a list of everything I'm missing there. I do have all of the most recent run including all Legion Lost and Legion Worlds. I also have That Damn Tabloid and the other tabloid size edition that came out as well as a number of crossover appearances, most of the Annuals (I never know where they fir either!), half of the Valor series, all of Who's Who in the Legion, Legionnaires 3,most of Wanderers and the entire original LSH series (all four issues! . Much of my early collection (Adventure, Action, S & S/LSH) was damaged in a house fire in the 80s but I kept them all and have managed to find clean copies to include. Though scorched and blackened they are certainly readible .

Between all of the archives and a complete run from v2 259-present (except the Death of Superboy, which I've read but haven't broken down and paid 10 bucks for yet) I'm only missing Superboy/LSH 217, 218, 234-236, 238-244, and 252. That includes Secrets, Who's Who, Legionnaires 3, Crisis. I'm not AR--I don't care too much about Karate Kid or Timber Wolf's adventures in the 20th century. Everything up to End of an Era bagged in 2+ long boxes, Archives with the rest of the literary works of Western Civilization on the bookshelf.
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!
