Tyroc wasn't in the big group photo at the end of 300?

Matthew, most likely Levitz couldn't be bothered including Tyroc given his documented antipathy towards the character in general. And from LEGION 284 (apart from Cosmic Boy's update in the main Meeting Hall)Tyroc was excised from all the team's memories.

Non-relevant thought: Could anybody who has a copy of the Brigadoon Syndrome two-parter inform me if Tyroc and Dawnstar ever spoke to each other?

The group photo only included characters who actually would have made it there for the photo, so no dead people or folks like Tyroc who was exiled to another dimension.

Tyroc's only appearance in that issue is in one of the alternate reality tales, where he is killed.

However, the two should have appeared together in the Legion entry in WWitDCU.

I love that picture. Partly for the anachronism seen in most "Who's Who" pictures and partly for the fact that both Projectra and Sensor Girl are shown (clearly, one is an illusion).

Brigadoon Syndrome was actually a one part story that followed the 2 part Dagon the Avenger storyline in Legion of Super-Heroes 263 and 264. In the final panes of 264, Dawnstar and Shadow Lass have located Tyroc, who left the HQ in a shroud of mystery during the Dagon story. They wanted answers as to his behavior, and to see if they could help. Just as they arrived, Marzal vanished to its other dimension. The Brigadoon story in 265 was all about Tyroc's origin. And yes, he did speak to Dawny throughout the issue, but near the end of the story he mainly is talking to Shady.

And to answer my own comment earlier, I reread Secrets of the Legion #1, and Tyroc is in the group shot at the medicenter, when the team finds out R.J. Brande is dying. It is a headshot only, with a white collar. So he was there (but Blok was not, so still no match).

I had wondered about the WHO'S WHO entries as well, but I don't really count them as part of the actual "continuity"...

And I was too quick to mention Blok's death preceding Tyroc's return to earth's dimension. According to the RPG book that came out during TMK, Marzal returned in Jan 2994 and Blok was killed by Roxxas in Nov of the same year. They still never appeared on panel though, as Tyroc immediately joined the resistance (SUBS) and BLOK was living alone pondering the mysteries of his now-deceased people.

Thanks for the info, Omni, because tho Tyroc and Dawny had joined within months of each other, they never seemed to interact until, as you just mentioned, in LEGION 265. Three or so years is a long time to get to know a person, much less trying to catch up as Tyroc caught the final "jaunt" back home...a pity.

Didn't Angle Man die during Crisis? I think I remember something about his body being found at a detectives convention.

There was a version who died during the Crisis and I think one has appeared since but he has never had anything to do with the Legion. Not that I recall.

I swear the guy gets better press NOW than he did when he was "The One True Flash" in the DCU (back in the day)

Perhaps they're planning to use the "out" that Marv Wolfman (reportedly) set up during the original Crisis. Could Barry be the answer to all the unraveling and the last two decades are just a Hypertime that never should have happened?

Yeah. The more I hear about this issue the more I fear this issue will let us down big time. Which is a shame that the company and its creative teams won't give fans what they want.

What some fans want.

I want Xs. I want Gates. Characters from over a decade ago, not so much.

How many other issues have created 12 pages of discussion based on the cover alone?
