I assume this is some sort of bee of space?

Well, the allergic encounter did not occur on Earth. For all I know, though, the bees might be Earth species transplanted to that location, or they might be totally alien bees.

Correct, EDE. The bees in question were Rose-Honey Bees on Winath.

I am sure I know what story this is from, so the guess is a 1 in 3 shot.
Was it Karate Kid?

It is Karate Kid, but I suspect you've got the wrong story in mind!
It's from Kamandi #58, where Val and Kamandi find themselves transported through a series of old movies.

Ha! You're right; I was thinking this was in the Dr. Mayavale story! I know I have that issue of Kamandi, though, so maybe I was still somehow remembering the correct picture.
UM, ok, gonna get a little obscure here....
In "Supergirl's Super Courtship," Supergirl keeps trying to fix Superman up. Superman does actually fall for someone. What planet is Superman's romantic interest from?

That story isn't so obscure anymore here on the Boards - we're doing Adventure-Era rereads over on the Legion forum!

They were all initially recruited to join the Legion in the same issue (LSH # 66, IIRC).

That is correct. But I am looking at something else they have in common, that the other Legionnaire recruited in LSH 66, Andromeda, does not have in common with them.

No real idea, but an educated guess would be that it somehow involves Leviathan in some fashion--perhaps they all evaded attempts by Gim to capture them? Zoe and Gates in LSH #66 and Vi must have done so before his death...

No, not exactly.
Hint: CMK was on the right track, asit had something to do with their recruitment.

Not quite, as there were other draftees and Kinetix and Violet at least seemed perfectly willing to join the Legion.

Legionnaires went to their home planets to recruit them? IIRC, Andromeda's Legion audition was on Earth.

Correct, and correct! The only other Legionnaire recruited on his or her homeworld was Kid Quantum II, but she asked to join and not the other way around. Over to you, CMK.

In a 30th-century excavation of the Batcave, what were the giant penny and the giant Joker card mis-identified as?

Tenz claimed they were evidence of his "Titan Presidents of Bismoll" Theory: The penny was a manhole cover of Abe Lincoln and the Joker card was a portrait of Dan Quayle--thus suggesting that the events of the 5YG actually occurred in the 30th Century of the telefilm "Knight Rider: 2000"--the only known timeline in which Dan Quayle became POTUS...

Actually, I believe the Joker card was said to be a doormat, not a portrait, but good enough that the next question is yours.

Which pair of Legionnaires made the briefest of appearances in an episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD?
