Before Facebook and the "pics of Legion Worlders" threads, I had preconceived notions of what some of us would look like based on our names and "profile" pictures here. I'm pretty curious to see which guesses are spot on, and which ones are way off the mark! Well? What were your preconceived notions of me? Someone had to ask.

While I'm also curious, I would never be dumb enough to ask. I also never say "Guess how old I am."

Cobie, and anyone else who meets Ex during his quest, be sure to ask him to tell you the story of his engagement! I think he told that story in one of the "Know Your Legion Worlder" threads

It actually came up! I didn't see this thread and your post until later.
It was great time--and way too fast. We did meet in one of the best spots in all of NYC too!

My and Ex's meeting lasted just about three hours! I hope you guys had at least a similar amount of time. And, um, did he deliver something to you?

I don't think I ever mentioned Mrs. Nihil's real name, did I? Why, it's... eh... Morgan Fairchild! Yeah! That's the ticket!

you forget... we have mutual acquaintances from the old neighborhood! And one of them is bound to know the truth about you! Don't make me go all Bogie on you!

It certainly was worth the wait. I'll expect a review in Gym'll's, then! I looked up the old PM last night. It's actually been nearly FOUR YEARS since I promised it to you! That predates, I think, both of your sons and possibly your marriage? It's funny, though, I thought of sending it with Ex immediately after he messaged me about meeting when he also mentioned that you'd be next!

We did meet in one of the best spots in all of NYC too! So close, and yet so far... next time, hop on a train to LI... I can't make a martini for the life of me, but the pool is open...

I think there's one that runs thru North Charleston. That's about 10 miles from where I live if I'm right. I'll have to double-check......

Also, at some point, I've gotta take a short day trip and meet Cranky/Mrs. Cranky/Cranky Jr (a.k.a. Rickshaw1 and fam). They live, I think, only about three hours away from me. It looks like I'll have to be the upstart in this meet-up cuz he's never talked about comin' down here! Has anyone here met up with Cranky?

We went to the Plunge, the rooftop bar of the Gansavoort Hotel in the Meat Packing District. It's uber-trendy at night (every night it rages until 4:00 am) but during the day its a real chill, cool place. Great 360 degree view of Manhattan. Plus great martinis and all the waitresses are aspiring models.
There's an Amtrak train route near you, Lardy? Interesting. I wonder how long from DC? I take Amtrak all the time to Baltimore and Philly, and occasionally to DC.

When I was a teen, some guy fired a shotgun full of rock salt at my friends and I when we were drinking beers and smoking weed on his property. I've always suspected that was Rick!

Again, I'm not sure, but I can check. I imagine it's a fairly long ride from DC (if the station exists), esp. with all the stops. Plus great martinis and all the waitresses are aspiring models.
And Lady Cobalt doesn't mind, right?
