No. I remember looking at the roller coaster on top of the Stratosphere and thinking how absolutely insane someone would have to be to get on that contraption. Then I remember wanting to see what it looked like from the street. I think you're thinking of the rollor coaster you rode at the Nascar Place. If I remember correctly that attendant thought I was going to step out onto the tracks (Indoors of course) just as he was ready to start the ride with you as the only passenger.

Yep, that's the one: Speed - The Ride, in the NASCAR part of the Sahara casino.
I wish we'd been able to get you onto the Big Shot drop tower ride at the top of the Stratosphere. (It was fun, I swear.)
I like the idea that the character of Abin Quank is afraid of heights, so when he uses his power ring to fly, it's only 5 feet off the ground...

Yay! I finally met somebody, and it was Ex! Out of the blue, I come home this past Thursday from work and find a PM from Exnihil saying he has a three-day weekend, and he'd like to come down and meet up with me! We hash out some details like when and where, and two days later, it happens! We sat down for food and drink and talked for upwards of three hours. So much conversation about our personal lives, Legion World, our hopes and dreams....it was really great! It makes me want to meet more LWers and duplicate the experience! Plus, I got to hold (caress?  )my Lardy action figure! DO'h! (Ex shoulda taken a pic of me and lil' Lardy together!  )

Having never met any Legion Worlder to date, I've often wondered what it would be like.
If I ever DO go to one of these things and meet some of you guys, I have a feeling I would come off as a blithering idiot! I'd be saying, "Dude, this is so WEIRD!" several times and in different wording that I don't think I'd be all that engaging. "Dude, you're Cobalt Kid...and you're Ceej---I mean Ceej! And you're Quislet and you're....."
And I kinda DID that!  I think I gave poor Ex a bit of a complex about it! He said at one point something like, "so do you think I'm weird?" I think my reply was along the lines of, "Sure! But I think we ALL are!"

One thing was different than I expected. I imagined we'd call each other 'Lardy' and 'Ex', but the idea seemed kind of foreign to him. I betcha most people here would call me 'Lardy' if they met me.

One of the first things Ex said to me was (paraphrasing), "Oh, I thought you'd be taller." My reply (again paraphrasing), "Well, Lardy IS taller than me!" I got a chuckle from him out of that. Lardy is, after all, larger than life! He's over 50 pounds heavier and about 5 inches taller than me.
