HA! I hear about the funnest things from students.

...am still not feeling quite right. Wish i could figure out the magic cure.

... worked on a weekend, so I could go on leave next week!

...officially became LAD Boy as my department was renamed Legislative Affairs Department -- much better than our former name, LaRD: Legislative and Regulatory Department, and the runner runner-up for the new name CAD: Congressional Affairs Department.

...slept all day and till 0300am

... am reflecting on - from a hereditary standpoint - how lucky I am to have dodged the "bad back" gene.

I am the only member of my genetic nuclear family (my mother, father, sister, and brother) who has not had to undergo spinal surgery at some point.

I was talking to my younger brother last night who is recovering from his third back surgery. He's had three discs removed and a metal "fusion cage" placed in there to take their place. He's only 35! That's freaking insane.

I have no idea why I'm the only one this has skipped... (though I do have a pet theory that the fact that I used to parachute may have subtly elongated my spine and prevented the compression they all get)... but trust me, I am freaking thankful.

...answered the phone without looking at the call display first. I'm now the lucky winner of an extra night of overtime.

...am feeling a weird blend of gratitude and regret.

...planted lettuce starts, sorrel, and nasturtiums.

...had my home internet antenna realigned because the ISP installed a new tower. It's actually fast again!

Took my wife to the Clinic, and then ER. She is still there, seeing a GI specialist in the a.m.

Looks like my three day weekend is going to turn into a four day weekend.

No fun. Hope she feels better soon, Dev.

...am drawing a picture of Hawkgirl while working (slow night)

...had to buy a new keyboard because the "M" quit working.

Brought wife home after some tests. Stomach issues diagnosed. Still no idea what caused pain that we took her there for though.

...didn't sleep very good

... finally posted on Legion World again after nearly two weeks.

...got my paystub, 84 regular hours + 84 hours overtime in two weeks AGAIN!

... haven't done much yet.

Pitched a fit at the "Shutdown Manager" right before I left for work this morning...and all my co-workers witnessed it.

20 minute yelling match and I was totally justified and in the right and everyone got to see for real just what a oily, lying snake in the grass the guy is.
