Bumping up for the new page Here's the question Well I am finally taking two days off from work (actually I'm being forced to take the time off, but thats another story)
Random guess time...I normally clock 84 hours in a two week period. How many hours of overtime did I put in for this pay period? Last guess was 70 hours in two weeks and it is not high enough

And we has a winner.
Since I started this new position I've been putting in a fair amount of overtime, but this pay period was the last cycle to finish getting things ready for the maintenance shutdown. So I worked my regular 84 hours + One 6 hour day, Four 12 hour days and Two 13 hour days for a total of 164 hours in two weeks.
You have the next question HWW

Wow, I hope you love what you do, Virie.
My classes aren't all about music videos. Sometimes we talk about actual writing stuff. Which of the following is the focus of this week's lessons in Comp I?
Argument Audience and purpose Citing and documenting sources Commas Critique and critical thinking Dangling modifiers Evaluations Informative essays Interviewing Logos, pathos, and ethos Memoir Peer review Revision Thesis statements Wordiness, hedging, and redundancy

HWW, can't say I love my current job but it needs to be done...and I do back to my old one by mid-june at the latest.
And I guess
Citing and documenting sources (though I think that was last weeks lesson)

You got it! Yes, this week is all about in-text citations and the works cited page. I have a fun exercise (well, fun for me at least) in which I'll give them a list of sources to take home and construct a works cited page around; then I'll have volunteers come up to the computer and type in entries. As a class, we'll fix whatever's wrong. (Last week's lesson was about finding and evaluating sources.) And I DO love my job.

Quis has it in one... I ended up buying the "Collector's Edition" which I usually don't do, but this came with a kick ass statue and some extra content. I'll post some pics of it later

I like both those names. if fact, when my sister was pregnant with her 2nd child, I was hoping for a girl because they had picked Rebecca as the name for a girl. It was a girl, but my niece goes by Becky

Wow, what a string of spot-on guesses! Guess we're all getting to know each other quite a bit huh? But I really do appreciate how we're all sharing a little bit of ourselves here

Hang around LW long enough, and you, too, will be able to read minds and/or predict the future.
Be back in a day or so with a new question.

I: I ate at Taco Bell.
I'd like to think (for the sake of your digestion) you didn't eat fast food twice in one day. XD
