3. Adding superheroes to "Artsy" photos to hang in my home

Nope, this is in progress as well.
Disdemona picked out a dozen or so "stock" black and white photos she liked. I've been picking one person in each photo to colourize and turn into a superhero.
So far I've completed one of "Swift" (from the Authority) and am currently working on one of "The Flash" and another of "Retro Girl" (Powers)

Technically this is completed, it was for a (timed) contest and the image was submitted. Since submitting though I've started to add colour so this is still not the correct answer

While screen-shoting references for the Monitor room I encountered tons of awesome images of the inside of the Time Institute....so this one is in the same stage of completion.

I actually plan to pair the images across a dual monitor and incorporate them into a Rainmeter theme....provided I actually finish either of them

I took 7) Karate. For many years actually. More on that later.

no to the rest. Krav Maga sounds intense.

my buddy keeps trying to get me to join his fencing club ... which I want to do but ... I'm afraid I would freak out and get frustrated by the finesse and dexterity required ... and then go cave man style at everyone.

Except you have to borrow the sweaty gear/clothes for fencing and think that might freak me out.

Now you all know why I have such a fondness for Karate Chops and saying "HIYAH!" which means yes ... with a little extra sauce on top.

Not Kendo, I almost took a Kendo class because it was part Kendo and part ninjutsu ... also I learned a bit of weapons at Karate camp ... and loved it, throwing stars, staves, we got to play with all kinds of weapons! It was so much fun, I think maybe I should take a Kendo class. Also, the one I was looking at was a bit of philosophy as well ... similar to my Karate class which had a good deal of philosophy added every class ... which made a huge difference than just kicking the crap out of each other 2 or 3 times a week.

Karate and Judo it is. I took a combined course for many many years.

It was a nice class with a lecture before on certain philosophies ... and then practice.

This was the class with which I went to Karate camp and we got to try out all kinds of weapons ... and some people even walked across hot coals. haha.

I advanced really quickly and finally had to quit because I was in classes with a bunch of much older much stronger folks. I kept going home bruised and beat up after awhile.

I also was pretty tired of it after a while, it was at least two classes a week for years ...

I think the biggest thing it taught me though, was not to fight.

Capoeira...nope. Even when I was young I don't think I was agile enough for that style

Krav Maga...nope. Like you Peebs I think it looks pretty intense though

Karate...Yes, this was the first martial art I studied, during my last few years of high school and first year of university.
Stopped lessons mostly due to a lack of finances and when my situation was a little better I had found something MUCH more fun

7. Aikido - nope all I know about aikido is that it is the Martial Art that Steven Segal studied

8. Greco-Roman Wrestling - yes there is another one down. I studied G-R in high school, was the regional champion for my weight class and eventually spun it off into "professional" wrestling (which is actually acting, but whatever)

So two down, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling....
