1) Have a job interview. 2) Have to purchase a plane ticket. 3) Am going to eat pizza. 4) Have to finish a paper. 5) Have to speak at a conference. 6) Have to teach a class. 7) Have a class on teaching. 8) Am going to a happy hour. 9) Have to apply for a grant. 10) Am getting my flat cleaned. 11) Will make popcorn. 12) Will catch a cold. 13) Will perform for dozens of children, with sock puppets. I got my flat cleaned last week! I get it done once every 3 months or so and they get it so much cleaner than I can.

YES!!!! I DID!!! the course is such a farce. I feel bad for the instructor, who is really nice but so far the class has been a comedy of errors! Not to mention, I am so behind on my assignments. But so is the rest of the class.
I am thinking of writing play about my experience ... because it is such a satire.
YOU'RE UP EX!!! can't wait for your questions!

OK, this is going back a few weeks but - for this past Valentine's Day - Mrs. Nihil gave me a comic-themed gift.
What did she give me?
A. A bag of customized M&M's (stamped with super-hero logos) B. A bag of customized candy hearts (stamped with little slogans like "You're Super", "My Hero", etc.) C. An Alex Ross print of the Joker hugging Harley Quinn D. A Roy Lichtenstein print homaging an old romance comic cover E. A risque "Tijuana Bible" comic from the 1930's F. Alan Moore's risque book, "Lost Girls" G. A copy of Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21 (the Wedding Issue) H. A copy of Frederic Wertham's "Seduction of the Innocent" I. A pair of Batman underwear (for me to wear) J. A pair of Batgirl underwear (for her to wear)

E. A risque "Tijuana Bible" comic from the 1930's
Exnihil: Novelty, if he had a power, the obvious one to me would of course be "The Power of Grayskull"

D. A Roy Lichtenstein print homaging an old romance comic cover No, though I'm not quite in the vocal anti-Lichtenstein camp that's sprung up, I can't say that I'm a fan, either. E. A risque "Tijuana Bible" comic from the 1930's No... but jeez, I wish! I'll bet those things are darned hard to come by. So, if not those two, what did Mrs. X give me this past Valentines Day?

If that's correct, you'll have to model it to all of us. LOL.

No, I received neither a bag of chalky little hearts, nor an Alex Ross Print (though I did use that image for a Valentine's card I made for her years back), nor the Spider-Man Wedding issue (which a buddy of mine actually got for his Spider-Man loving fiance a decade back), nor a set a Batman briefs (sorry, Nov! ) So what was my comic-themed gift that Mrs. X so thoughtfully gave? Down to the wire, because I received neither the "gift that keeps on giving"... nor the ladies' underwear. So which of the two remaining, did I receive for Valentines Day? A. ...and, bingo!
Yeah, although Dr. Wertham's book obviously has zero romantic implication (although, I have to admit I smirked at the coincidence of receiving a "Seduction" on Valentines), it was more the thought behind it that was really sweet.
You see, Mrs. X has next to no interest in comic books... but that doesn't stop me from rambling on ad nauseum about them, so much so that - after 15 plus years - I was sure she pays no attention anymore.
I must have mentioned the whole Wertham saga at some point, and said that I'd really like to read that book someday. Well, Mrs. X's gift was her way of saying, "See... I do listen to you."
Viridis is up!

Well I have a bunch of art projects ongoing (as usual) and will probably end up scraping them before completion (as usual). But all of these except 1 is in progress right now. Which one am I NOT working on?
1. New header images for my websites 2. Legion photomanipulated group shot 3. Adding superheroes to "Artsy" photos to hang in my home 4. 3D model of the mission monitor room 5. 3D model of the Time institute 6. Emerald Empress vs Red Hulk 7. Emerald Empress vs Connor (from Assassin's Creed 3 video game) 8. Designing my Business Cards

2. Legion photomanipulated group shot
Knowing how many different art styles you like to try out, I'm thinking that perhaps your specific interest in photomanipulations might have already been fully explored.

Nope that one is underway. I recently encountered a photo (not sure if on a photography group on reddit or stock art group on deviantart, but I digress) of a group of young ladies (early 20's) with a nice variety of bodies types and hair colours. They all looked very happy even though they seemed to have lost their clothes somewhere. So I said to myself "Oh Great Viridis, he who is long on pride but short on sense, may we see fit to grant these poor lass' some cloths to cover thier asses?" And so I answered me with "Yea, and them them be Ladies from the Legion for that is but fit and good. Also stop talking yourself in the third person, it makes you sound crazy(er)" And so it came to pass that I downloaded the picture, put it though processing (not as dirty as it sounds) and seperated the girls from the background and each other.
Still have to figure out who will be who...I might do a poll for that actually.
