Do I really have to wait all the way to June to find out what happens? Nice cover by Portela. This is a long storyline. Hope it's exciting! The buildings on the cover remind me of the ruins featured in Legion Lost #10. I hope I'm right about the connection between that issue and this storyline after all.

Interesting that there's still no Mano in sight.

I was presuming that, somehow, Kid Psycho was back as the new Empress and that's just his giant turban.

I said it over on Facebook and I'll say it here: there's an awful lot of fros going on in this cover. Between Brainy and the Empress it's looking like 1973 all over again.

Plainly, the new Empress is a product of a union between Bouncing Boy and one of those giant puffballs we thought he was just bouncing around with in ADVENTURE 313 (the Satan Girl/Crimson Plague issue). 'Bouncing'- heh!

Is that a Kirby-style headress peaking around the side of that giant 'fro? In yellow?

No Validus on the cover either. And it looks like the Emerald Empress has a different costume here? Is she gonna be like the Wasp, always changing her outfit?

The Emerald Eye sure looks very vein-y...

Wonder where all the other Legionnaires are. Still spread out all over the galaxy? Wonder if the cover is accurate, and Ultra Boy (and possibly Cham and Glorith) were able to make it back to Earth.

Good catch! I hope there's some tie-in too.

I think Levitz has been slowly crafting this storyline for some time, long before Giffen got in the picture. If true, this saga may have long term implications for the Legion and their universe. Personally I hope it means their headquarters gets transferred from Earth to outer space somewhere.

Odd cover, me-thinks. You can't see who the Persuader is fighting. Which is odd for a cover depicting a
battle, no? Also, I'm trying to recall whether the Atomic Axe is usually drawn as engulfed in what looks
like...flames. Hard to tell.

Beautiful cover, apart from the Evil green 'fro which is a little distracting. As that issue will be part five I hope it's the final part.
