Yes, my friends, in less than a week, everyone's favorite poster....okay, maybe everyone's favorite plus-sized poster....er, everyone's favorite poster known as "Lard Lad", at least? No? Aw, whatever! In any case, on Tuesday, January 15th, Legion World will see the last of the poster and LMBer known as Lard Lad. Miss not this fateful day! (Or you know, use the "search" function or whatever to find out what happened later if you had better things to do....  ) MISS IT NOT!!! (or whatever...)

Bah. Whatever happened to just telling good old fashioned straightforward Lard Lad stories? These days everything on message boards is so "big event"-driven, and then a few years later they come along and just revert everything to the status quo. Remember when Lard Lad died awhile back? Yeah, like that really stuck. Or when he lost his powers? It's only a matter of time until someone decides to revert this new-fangled "not-Lard Lad" back to just plain old Lard Lad, only I'm betting retro-Lard Lad will never quite be as groovy as the actual original Lard Lad because it will always be trying to capture someone's image of what Lard Lad was instead of engaging in the kind of innovation that made Lard Lad groovy in the first place. Bah.
