I just got back from my lunch date with Lad Boy and it was fab-u-lous! He was, of course, a complete gentleman. Sadly, he was not in his Lad Boy outfit but a suit. (Which I suppose is fair, since I too was in a suit.) I like to think he had it on underneath, though. wink

The restaurant was amazingly nice with an adorable waitstaff and people constantly fluttering around to do things for you. In typical Legion World fashion, we discussed the board and comics. (And other things, too.) I'm sure I monopolized the conversation horribly but hopefully he'll forgive me. wink I'm very exciteable, you know.

Then, like Cinderella, I had to rudely bolt because I had to get back to work. (Sorry about that, btw!) Luckily, my wonderful date was kind enough to pay for the affair. (That sound you hear is my pocketbook sighing with relief.) All in all, it was a lovely lunch and I am full of yummy food.

So there you have it! A date with Legion World's most excellent Dick Grayson impersonator. (And, yes, he really is that cute in person. wink ) Maybe he'll let me take him out (somewhere less expensive) sometime, too. laugh It was great fun. Yay for meeting LWers in person! (And with food!)

Lad Boy is a nice guy. He didn't complain when I walked him across Boston in the cold (and him having only a light weight jacket)

And knowing you, Cali, I am sure he had a great time too.

(1) outfit: I was wearing lycra under the Washingtonian uniform.

(2) "monopolized . . . excitable": God how old I am, I caught myself thinking at one point "I hope my excitable 9-yr old turns out to be so cute and charming."

(3) Cinderella exit: not a problem, the glass slipper you left behind fit a very cute guy on business from Cleveland sitting at the bar.

(4) yummy food: The grits could have been life changing for you, but I can understand your aversion. I didn't like grits til I was in my 30's.

(5) yes, he really is that cute in person: I just wanted to repeat that for anyone who didn't read it in your message.

(6)... take him out (somewhere less expensive) sometime: My pleasure. Washington is full of good cheap food.

Legion World is 4 for 4.

Caliente, Quislet, esq., Barry Kitson, Ultra Boy -- every person I've met from this site is delightful.

Must get to Memphis.

Wish I could, but I'm off to Milwaukee next week. Yes, MILWAUKEE. yee-hah.

Tell us all about your Memphis adventures when you're done, preferably with mpeg files to support your outlandish stories.

The mac and cheese was awesome, too! (And reeeeeally hot-- temp-wise.) Next time I see ham-free grits, I'm there!

I thought this was another Lash thread!

Every time Legion Worlders meet in person, the forces of evil are further weakened!

Well, I guess it's just as well that I'm not able to go on that choir trip to DC next weekend.

I'll get to meet another LWer some day. sigh

Of course, she only told Tamper Lad that to make him jealous. It's how she keeps him in line wink

See a lesser man might get jealous when his girl goes out with another guy, but I totally trust my hot tamale.
