I am reminded of a Steve Martin Saturday Night Live monologue about Goals.
Steve said that the trick to achieving your goals is to make small easily accomplished goals that you then can build upon to achieve even higher goals.
Steve's goals were to become master of all space and time, then to go to Europe.

Matt, why don't you submit some of the things you've posted in Bits? They're all of publishable quality, IMO.
I think the hard part is just getting your foot in the door -- I suspect many published authors are either lucky, or had some sort of connection to a publisher.

Danny with your talent the publisher should be knocking on your door! Have you spoken to Abin Quank about it as he is trying to do much the same.
