Eryk, for the record you will always be Lardlad to me. Heaven forbid I should ever see the 2 of you in a room together... I think my brain would explode.

Of course I'm really LARDLAD. I just find it amusing how far I take this EDE Alt-ID as a separate entity.

I just read the entire Hot Summer Nights thread and it was hilarious! Some of the parts in the story were completely out of control, completely hysterical! I can't wait to read the next installment!

I'm glad a lot of people are posting to tell how they joined, it's making it easier to keep track of continuity! Eryk and Kid Prime seem to have a handle on the tag-team threads of the last year or so, so the continuity there is strait.
Plus, EDE has promised a onevison or tag thread about the crisis, the move to Legion World, and the facets of this big change (i.e. the death of Space Tart, deaths of other characters, formation of Legion World, maybe even in passing a mention of the trouble on Rob's thread and the search for a new board).
Once Legion World was established, I have some notion of how the continuity proceeded thereafter. NightCrawler and Lightning Lad founded the place, which in my mind is an actually world/planet, with many inhabitants that aren't LMBers or superheroes. This accounts for the various other parts of Legion World that don't get any LMB continuity. I picture Legion World also with a whole population of people living on it who are never mentioned in threads, who stay in the back round (secretaries, doctors, etc.), and can be used as plot devices.
Legion World then saw a mass of LMBers come to stay on it, notably Lash, Kid Prime, EDE, Princess Crujectra, Varalant, Leap Year Lass, Iron Rat, Poverty Lad, Greybird Boy, Lucien Lad, Fat Cramer, and others that I'll undoubtedly remember the second I finish posting this.
Crusader opted to remain behind to watch the outpost (yahoo group and outpost) but occasionally visits his sister and friends.
Lard Lad took a much needed break for a bit (though recently returned in the Thora storyline).
Other LMBers became important members of the Legion World community: Mystery Lad moved his lab here, to conduct meticulous experiments analyzing lost data (aka Calling the Role). Armsfalloffboy helps teach students at the LMB Academy, and acts as a moderator on Legion World.
The LMB were soon allowed to open the LMB Embassy where the leaders could stay, as well as any Regal figures in it's group. This was ironic, as the first leaders elected during the Legion World move were Princess Crujectra and Eyrk Davis Ester, making the Embassy the home of Crujectrie and her office.
The LMB began to mesh in with the inhabitants of Legion World and several new members joined the ranks: Semi-Transparant Fellow, Arachne, Harbinger, Almost New Kid, and others. The ever-energetic Icefyre joined up and became a major contributer! Shark Lad also reappeared, although he didn't join quite yet. Super Lad Kid finally decided to stop Lurking and joined the LMBP as well.
Soon, Semi and Vee fell for each other and began a relationship. In addition, the opened up SHAKES, a bar for Legion World posters to come and relax and enjoy life without spending any money. Danny Blaine, also a newer LMBer opened up the Starfied Lounge around the same time.
This brings us up to a few weeks before I returned, that saw the coming of Tarik the Mute, the Lori Mournings and other mysteries. I'll get to those later. Let me know what I've missed or screwed up! I am relying on your info after all!

From the info I gathered, the weeks before I returned were very hectic. Strange new visitors began appearing on Legion World including Evil Queen, Winema Wazzo and a few Lori Mornings. Winema Wazzo especially attempted to undermine the Crujectra administration, by presenting false information on the Princess and EDE as fact. When the Princess playfully took the last names of other posters, this was used against her. Further, Tarik the Mute and his android appeared on Legion World and opened up an academy for posters. This academy had otherwise evil intentions, and were able to get Super Lad Kid, Fat Cramer and Icefyre to join (as Frostfyre), although I have to admit the Android's poetry was pretty emotionally convincing. In addition, Danny Blaine began switching universes with the one known as Mantis, as they could not share the same universe at one time. While taking a job at SHAKES, she warned us about a coming evil. As all this crazyness went on, Giant Robotic Lesbian appeared as well. Space Ranger appeared next, hoping to clean up all this under handed activity on Legion World. His intentions were good, although many Legion Worlders were suspicious of him from the start, mainly because of all the other shady characters. Many had trouble understanding his intentions for a time. I, Cobalt Kid, finally made my return about a month ago, on a rather hectic night. Frostfyre was attacked in SHAKES, and the Ranger attempted to investigate, only to find Frostfyre unwilling to talk (undoubtedly Tarik's influence). Also, Mantis and Emerald Empress were present, although with good intentions. I attempted to assist Space Ranger. Things began to change again at Legion World. For me, I accepted a position as head of Security from Princess Crujeckie after learning my wife Space Tart had died. Fat Cramer left Tarik the Mute's academy. Then Thora, appeared on Legion World announcing that she would attack it, and asked for many girl LMBers to revolt. A lot of this culminated in one night, as Thora launched her invasion. Sadly, this was also the night Kid Prime announced he would be taking time off from Legion World and moved his status to reserve member for a bit. During Thora's invasion, Space Ranger proved himself to everyone and earned their trust, so I offered him a position working with the Royal Guard and he accepted. Thora also attacked Super Lad Kid, who in return for being saved, renounced his evil ways and Tarik's academy and joined the LMB and the Royal Guard. Frostfyre had done so previously, and became Icefyre again as an LMBer. Kara also showed up, and helped out . Thora was ultimately defeated, when I took her into my office and showed her the pleasures of compromise. It worked at the time, but backfired when she got pregnant. This all lead into the shaping up of the LMB to prepare for the next big touble. Shark Lad and Dev-Em returned to the fold as other LMBers appeared. For the full story of Dev-Em's return, one needs to check out the story thread on it that is still being archived, so it is unclear exactly how it happened, even though we were all there. One thing that happened was that the LMBP Spectre returned, although in the form of Space Tart for a time, which was hard on this LMBer. She has now taken up residence on Legion World in the Hall of Fallen Heroes as a reservist. Furball returned soon after, and with he and Sharky together again, sparks began to fly. Thora announced to Legion World that she was pregnant with Cobalt Kid's baby and was prepared to attack (with mass castration). In addition, Space Ranger dissapeared, where it was revealed he was kidnapped by Thora. The LMB rallied together and went to Taltar on a rescue mission. The results of this mission are revealed on the Thora thread, but in summary here is what happened: Space Ranger was rescued by Semi and Vee after some terrible anal torture. Lard Lad returned to the LMB after being a spy on Taltar for awhile. Cobalt Kid and Thora's baby was born to be revealed as a Shark Avatar Beast that was somehow connected to Furball and Shark Lad. This connection is still mysterious, although it appears Cobalt Kid or Thora is not overtly connected in the same way. Thora and her femizons were defeated. EDE is now being stalked by some sex nympho doctor named Dr. Lesbon, who surgically attached Shark Lad's fin back on (and Furball's fur). Emerald Empress, Super Lad Kid and FC defeated and captured Tarik the Mute, his android and Winema Wazzo. In the process, a fifth member of the villians escaped who remains unnamed. Evil Queen was also killed by the Empress in self-defense. Afterwards, the Empress expressed her wishes to be tried for regicide. The LMBers returned home from Taltar, where things quieted down for about a day or two. While the Empress has waited to be tried, a new face called Royal Inquisitor has appeared demanding control of her trial and threatening other LMBers to be tried for things such as witchcraft. He apparently came to Legion World with the influx of shady characters such as Evil Queen and Tarik the Mute, but has remained mysteriously silent until now. Today, Crujectra announced that she found the Empress not guilty for the crime of regicide. The LMBers have already found her not guilty (although this was unnecessary) and await the Empress's return to LMB status. Royal Inquisitor's next move is also awaited. Other interesting tidbits: Icefyre and Shark Lad may have started a relationship, or at least are in the early stages of a possible one. Kara and Cobalt Kid have started dating. The story of Emma Grundy and the mysterious preacher is unfolding as you read this, and the reprecussions may be grave. Plus the usual insanity of Legion World continues which is too much for this LMBer to chronicle . What exactly will happen next?

I was also going through Duplicate Man's Voyforum, and I found these tidbits: -A tag team thread called "LMBP: the Super Moby Dick of Space" that never really got off the ground. It had about eight or nine posts (mainly by Lardy, Faraway, me and Therod) and takes place roughly in Year Four during my term as leader. -Stu answers a quick few questions on LMB continuity in terms of the various pregnancies already mentioned, such as his and Crujeckie's twins and the triplets of Amber (Homecoming Queen) and Beagle Boy, that he was going to create as the Beagz of Prey. While these characters may no longer exist in continuity (I think that's what Stu said, but I could be wrong), they could exist somewhere else (alt. universe, pocket dimension, etc.). -a Faraway Onevision story about Piddlin Pup. -Blackout Kid (aka Yellow Kid) explains a bit about the Oversight Watch. the link for these is http://www.voy.com/74661/ check it out if you want! These all take place roughly at the end of year three, start of year four. Right before the story, there was a tag thread on the USB forum (our second home) detailing the LMBP's battle with our version of the Fatal Five. If anyone has this, or remembers it, please post details. Lardy, you might remember this...

I was thinking last night and I suddenly remembered the tag team story where Lardy first went evil (I think). I can't remember exactly what happened but I seem to recall the end of the story taking place in some pocket universe or something (or possibly a space *outside* the universe) that involved Hard Shell the Turtle Girl a lot. I know there were only a select few LMBPers there and we'd been picked because Lardy had asked for volunteers and I was certainly there. Possibly Stu as well I think. Anyway it all ended with Lardy being possibly defeated but I'm racking my brains to remember exactly what was going on. Anyone else know the story I'm talking about? And is it saved anywhere?

Bevis,
This was Lardy's Search for Lard Lad story I believe. The first story Lardy wrote was Hummer Lass: Intervention, which took place after the Five Year Gap, and involved Hummer Lass, BJ Boy and Pro D heavily. In the end, it was revealed that Lard Lad had secretly died during the Five Year Gap and that Pro D had taken his place! (I don't think spoilers are necessary).
Then Lardy wrote the Search for Lard Lad story, that involved a select few LMBers looking for him, and finding him in the clutches of the Anti-Moderator. These LMBers were you, me, Hardshell, Loser, and possibly Therod and Loser and a few others. Lardy has this saved on his computer I'm sure. At the end of the story, the LMBers find Lardy, and he rejoins, although the readers learn that Lardy is actually evil now and is planning to attack the LMB from within.
Lardy then promised the sequal, the Reign of the Dark Lard, which he was able to produce the prologue to. However, I don't think he ever got to write the story fully yet and we are eagerly awaiting it! Hint, hint, cough, cough! I know I'm looking forward to it!
This was the Lard Lad going evil story, taking place in the Five Year Gap period. Lardy was the main author, as it was mainly a OneVision. However, since this was written in Year Two, many of the tag-threads since have expressed a darker side in Lardy that subtlely hint at this future (i.e. Lardy shooting Bucky with a shotgun).
Lardy, anything to add?

Ah yes, of course it was a One Vision. I remember Lardy saying that he found it quite hard writing Lucien Lad but I think he managed it pretty well in the end. Wasn't it originally going to be five LMBPers along with Lardy based on who was first to say that wanted to go along but a sixth member managed to sneak on board as well? Gosh, was that in Year Two? It's so wierd looking at how much has actually gone on with the LMBP. I keep thinking I'm still a relativly new member but I've actually been here for *ages*. And even though I'm not a hugely prolific poster I'm probably one of the few LMBPers who hasn't actually had to take a leave of abscence at any point which probably makes me one of the longest serving continuous members now. I think possibly Cru and Beagz have always been members but most everyone else has at least gone on reserve status for a while.

Yeah Bev, it's been pretty much you, Cru and Beagz that have stayed prevalant all along. Stu, Pov and Ultra Matt have managed that too I think in the runs as an LMBer since they joined.
I think I was the sixth LMBer who managed to sneak into Lardy's story for that too. I can't be positive about the other five, but I do remember Hardshell, you, Loser and possibly Therod. And Space Tart had some kind of role, where she showed up later. Lardy, if you have these still, repost them! They are somewhere in the Yahoo group, but you know how hard it is to go through all that!
And Bev, you're anything but a rookie! You've become an old time LMBer and a mainstay over the years! To think, you joined up in the Road Trips a few years ago and have seen every leader have his term. I guess I'm an old timer too, although I've had the previously mentioned time periods where I've been off.

I'm glad the two of you remember my stories so fondly! Unfortunately, "The Search for Lardlad" may be lost forever. I had it saved on my old computer, but that computer just up and died before I replaced it.
I do, however, remember e-mailing Newc almost the entire story before this happened, hoping to have him archive it along with "Hummer Lass: Intervention" at the Outpost. The problem was, even then, I was missing two chapters because of a saving glitch. So Newc was holding off 'til I found them to make the story complete. I guess it's conceivable that Newc still has most of that story somewhere...outside chance, anyway. Newc?
What was the lineup? Hmmm...Cobalt, Loser, Pro-D, Hardshell, MightyFanBoyMan, Lucien, Therod, Dev-Em, Hummer Lass and Space Tart (the mystery guest). Dunno if I missed anyone. I wrote every chapter from the character's point of view. I got that idea from Legion Lost.
It was fun but a lot of hard work! I solicited ideas from all of the posters whose characters I used to do them justice. I had notes and everything!
Cobalt, I don't remember if you've mentioned anywhere in this thread the big invasion of the Wizard World mb. It can't be downplayed what an awesome milestone that was for the LMB! I think of this because I used a villain team in "Search" based on the alternate i.d.s we used and on some of the more venomous posters we encountered there. I think I called them the LWB or Legion of Wizard Board posters.
If you haven't already, give the guys an account of the Wizard World road trip, CK---let's never forget!
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Lardy, I'm glad you remembered that! That's one of the funnier moments in LMB history, the invasion of Wizard World.
Here's what happened to anyone that wasn't there: The LMBP had just pretty much formed, and had a few months, and then went on the infamous Road Trips across the DC Message Boards. After, everyone wanted to do more road trips. Someone came up with the idea of going into the Wizard World forum (either Lash or Lardy, who had previously met there) and make that the next road trip. What made this different though was that the Wizard World board was almost completely filled with fanboys and marvel-zombies that were totally unwilling to open their minds to anything and often were more annoying than anything else. So somehow, our plans starting becoming more of an invasion thing...
We decided to all go over there, but use a false alias and not tell the other LMBers who we were. So it became kind of a game for a time. We all signed up with funny names, and then the spam wars really began. We were knee deep in comics debates ranging from who was cooler Rogue or Storm, to the Clone Saga was pretty awesome, to Image is better than DC and so on. Lardy was under the name HugeManBreasts, and I had the name Kitty Pride's Panties, which the other LMBers figured out where us in about ten seconds. Newcru even had the name 'Cru, and acted like an angry fanboy who was stereotypical of every idiot you've ever been disgusted with on the net. Other people were with us (about a good ten in all I think), but I can't remember what their alias's where anymore. Anyone remember the rest?
All in all, it was a pretty funny experience, and lasted for about two weeks or so. After that, a lot of us kept those alt ID's, and they took on a life of their own as the Legion of Wizard World Posters, the LMBP's enemies. As Lardy said, they fought the LMBP in his story.
And Lardy, isn't your story saved in the Yahoo group somewhere in the backlog of messages. I'm sure it is, someone just needs to go through and find it! I'll take a look when I get the chance, but if anyone else does...

Wow, this thread is Cobie-riffic! You've done an outstanding job!
Hugemanbreasts... *heh heh heh!* That was hysterical! Lardy was pushing all the Wizard dudes' buttons by showing how all the X-Men were gay, so they started making fun of his man-breasts!

Well, then a road trip may be in order! Who's up for an invasion of Rob's Board? How about somewhere else? And does anyone post at the new DCMB's anymore? I'm glad you guys like my work in the LMB archives! I think I've got a good structured timeline down, when I get the chance, I may write out the timeline and then post coherently. If you remember anymore people, stories, tag threads or other tidbits, remember to post 'em, I'm sure there's more we've forgotten! And EDE, you and Kid Prime and everyone else are in charge of keeping continuity strait from the beginning of Ultra Matt's term as leader to the beginning of Legion World (which you said you have a story in the works for). All in all, I think this continuity project is working out pretty well
