I remember when you guys carried it on as well, and song someone made up about the missng LMBers...

I also remember coming back fulltime to find the new board, and got to see a virtual "rebirth" of the LMB, as a lot old posters suddenly reappeared for a time! That was a blast for me, when it seemed like everyone posted all day long, kinda like it does now .

This has become my favorite thread too! Probably later today or tomorrow, I'll get into the next era of LMB history, but it's always more fun for people to just tell stories about certain periods of the past no matter what year they occured!

I miss the old "Ask MLLASH" threads too! Not only were they hysterical, it was where Cobalt Kid's enemy Dark Conan discovered his sexuality...

I just want to say that I started the milestone whore tradition, by nabbing the early milestones of the Legion of Super Posters and Who Are You threads! But damn it all, I haven't snagged one in so long because professional milestone whores like Stu, Therod and others kept grabbing them!

The only time I can ever remember him intervening on the LEGIONNAIRES board is when he deleted the story-thread that featured the debut of the Emerald Ass of Ekron... I think someone complained about the way Kid Therod defeated the Emerald Ass.... *titter!*

Of course, he banned me after the Phineas B. Fuddle Board takeover....

Good Lord! How many different boards has the LMBP called home? Every time I turn around I hear another one mentioned!

There was the tried attempt at the Superherochat board for a while too. That didn't last long though.

Well, after Rob did begin cracking the whip at the Legionnaires board... after 1-2 years... we found another DC Board that was deserted... The Amazing Worlds of Phineas B. Fuddle, or some such nonsense.

Lots of fun stuff happened there....

including a delightful sensual misunderstanding between one Ms. TD and one Mr. Poverty Lad....

Of course, the post count there went from, like ZERO to 2000 in a week... Rob caught wind of it and deleted ALL the topics.... I returned for a post or 2 and he BANNED me for a week! I felt like I had been grounded.

So in honor of the Phineas board, I posted as BOAZ YAKIN for a week while my real ID was banned... (Boaz was creator of Phineas B. Fuddle don'tya know... not to mention a movie director...)

Lash, I remember having about seven Id's at the time of the Phineas Board, and then having about five of them banned! Luckily the Cobalt Kid ID never got banned, so I never bothered getting the rest back. Plus, two computers in the UCONN computer lab in my building had their IP addresses banned!

The stuff on that board was absolutely nuts! That was a crazy two or three months worth of posts!

Vee, the LMBP has had the Legionnaires board for about two years, another board that I can never remember it's name but was a lot of fun, the Phineas board, the LMBP yahoo group that's kind of our home base, and then a few more that we only did for a little while like the superhero chat, duplicate man's forum, etc.

Hey, that's another LMBer! Duplicate Man! I forgot when he joined up, was it about the same time as Stu and Pov, or was it earlier around the time of Therod and Faraway?

Well no wonder I had such a hard time tracking you guys down!

I had been at the DC Boards for a while, which is where I met everyone (back in Jan/Feb ~ I think) Got involved in one of the stories (can't remember what that one's name was!) but I remember making Globe Girl's globes super sized and making someone's sack big enough to bounce on! (was that Francois?) I remember Lasher being involved, and Shady & the Flasher & EDE. KP was stuck as Omni Prime as France by Turns You Into A Country Fred.

I disappeared in an explosion just as I was fighting to shrink OmniPrime's manhood down to keep him from escaping his confinement as France & taking over the world (or something like that)so I never got to see how that story ended ( )

I was gone for a few months while...well actually that's a story that has yet to be told isn't it? It's mentioned in the current Jailhouse saga and I'll have to get around to providing the details soon!

When I finally came back to the DC Boards, everyone I remembered was pretty much gone! Took me a while before I tracked you all down by some posts at Ships & Giggles which seemed current. I posted to the Jailhouse thread there only to discover that everyone had jumped ship ( ) when Legion World had been created.

I finally got here in July and I've been having a blast ever since!

Heh. We were just talking about this! Crujectra and I had twins, Blu and Dru. But alas, that was all retconned away. (I was a terrible father!)

What memories!

The first people I really interacted with on the boards were Terence (later known as Lost In Lust Lad) and Brian (at that point bellbookcandle, later Seahorse) -- they really got me into posting and hanging out, and they were also the first two that I met in real life.

And then Lash started posting again (I think with the encouragement of StuRat's brother, Raging Bull), and things really took off from there!

The period from May 2001 through January 2002 was really the Golden Age of the LMBP to me... so many terrific memories.

By the way, Lash, I break into a HUGE grin whenever I think of that time when we had one of our first one-on-one chats... when I was "outed," so to speak...!

The transition from Year Two to Year Three isn't as clean cut, but here we go:

Newcru King and Dev Em's term ended and was followed by BBC and Beagz term. During the end of Cru's term, that's when some people were "flaming" the LMBP and a lot of long time posters (like Shady) left. Then like Lash said, there was a time when only Lash, Lardy, Loser and Dev were posting for awhile. Lash stopped for awhile and Loser pretty much stopped posting too. This period then saw the return of a bunch of LMBers who hadn't really been gone that long (like BBC, Newc, Beagz, others) but only missing for a small bit. The leadership changed as the Legionnaires board was coming to an end, and the LMBP knew it couldn't continue on the new Legion board without being deleted. So the new board was founded (I'm not sure what to call that one or how it was founded).

Also, during this time, a few new LMBPers joined including: Ultra Matt, Stu and Pov! Terrence and Mart began posting more with the LMBP too, although I'm not sure when they joined exactly.

The Legionnaires board's demise was the first real crisis, which in LMBP continuity included the death of Foxy Roxy (and maybe some others that I can't recall). This really marks the end of year two, and from there starts Year Three!

Year Three begins with the founding of the new board, BBC and Beagz term, and the new members regularly appearing! I didn't come back full-time for a few more months during Stu's term, after BBC went out of his way to email me during the summer (what a great guy) to let me know where you all were.

A lot of posters survived the transition and were active LMBers including (but not limited to): Seahorse, Beagle Boy, Crusader and Princess Crujectra, Lard Lad, Dedman, Kid Pyschout, Faraway Lad, Iron Rat, Raging Bull, Poverty Lad, Greybird, Ultra Matt, Sketch Lad, Lash Lad, Space Tart, Lucien Lad, Dev Em and more that I'm not remembering so please let me know!

I remember that when I came back full time (and finally as full time as I'd ever been), Shady returned for a bit, Midnight Son showed, Homecoming Queen appeared and a few others did too! This is one of the funnest periods of LMBP history too, so please give us the memories!

And keep the stories coming from the other periods too!

One of the funnest parts of Year Three for me was the Phineas Board, but what else happened before that point? How about during the Crisis? And who was Foxy Roxy (was it you Cru?)

I remember that Alt Id being very cool, and it was getting to the point that it seemed like it might not be an Alt Id anymore. The best part is that no one ever found out it was you until Foxy made the ultimate sacrifice during that crisis!
