I'm serious. They shrank 16 months to 12 for us. 15 week academic terms were completed in 12 weeks. Course load was 36 hours a week and 7 credits. 50 per cent of the mark came from our permanent learning teams, so we'd have to spend 12 hours a week in team meetings to discuss the group assignments. Then about 40 hours of homework.

It was all part of the evil genius experience.

That sucks TL.

It's almost as bad here, though. Taking ten week courses in 6 weeks. I took 12 units one session and 8 the other.

It blows. Be-lieve me.

I'm a double major in anthropology and biology. Or so the theory goes. I sincerely doubt that it'll end up that way but that's the goal atm.

We had the luxury of offices complete with phones at the school. We never left. My record is 72 hours in the building with only meal breaks. And an hour to watch TV in the undergraduate lounge.

Undergrad? What in regards is that equivalent to if you were in high school? Freshman or sophomore?

Yeah those professional programs can be a beyotch.

Ours was weird in that we were placed in teams based on psych profiles. I hate time management, and have trouble with emotional situations. BWAHAHA. It made for interesting times.

Undergrad was a lark for me. Drank too much, I tell ya.

Is Australia still on that old-style five year British high school system or is it the 4-year American style now LAM.

Undergrad is your first Uni degree.

How rude. The dust must have fallen off of you. As everyone knows, SHAKES is always immaculate, thanks to the spell of the Emerald Empress. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now for your bloody mary - would you like that in a clean glass? wink

Ok, thanks for the info, TL, now as to your question: our public and private school system is governed by two areas: primary and secondary. Primary starts at Year 5 and ends at Year 7, then secondary at Year 8 until Year 12. In the days before modern tech there was a term called "Leaving" - tho i havent the foggiest whether it is still used today.

Since Canada is,in part, involved with the British Empire as you stated (also in part)how is the school system managed in your neck of the woods?

Until 2 years ago this province had a 13 year primary and secondary system. 2 Years ago we joined the rest of North America with a 12 year school system. Two classes of high school graduated in the same year, causing a huge mess.
