My drinking is strictly social by choice, TL but i run the gamut of drinking Diet Coke to the occasional mixer drink or wine cooler. If i have a beer i would go with Carlton Light - thats got a bit of flavour to it. If someone really nice (i.e. cute) offers me a beer, i'd go for something "heavier"

What are your faves, dude?

I've never heard of any Aussie beers aside from Foster's, but they've really flooded our shelves with your wines in the past two years.

Back in the day, I used to drink beer by the pitcher but those days are gone for me. I'm into a glass of wine with the cocktail hor d'oevre plate these days.

I suppose I've been civilized.

I've never had Lowenbrau. I haven't seen it for years. They advertised it heavily back in the early '80s.

Now, Fosters had a rather annoying commercial in the States in the '90s with someone doing a bad Paul Hogan impersonation stating that Foster's was "Australian for beer".

It's german from Bavaria. So in theory if its brewed according to their traditional methods it'll follow the old Bavarian Purity Law of beer.

Paul Hogan is, you could say, the cultural attache for Aus...but have you guys been inflicted with Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter" yet? I swear to you both, that not all Australians are as "ocker" as all that.

Little old me certainly ain't *tee hee*

I suppose my very favourite would be Bass Ale. There are very few US beers that are at all palatable.

Oh yes, we have Steve Irwin and his crocs. At least Paul Hogan looked good in a leather vest.

I like some of the deeper coloured beers, come out sort of red brown. I can't think of one at the moment.

I usually just pick one from the menu.

he I guess they didn't want the guards saying G'day Mate to the tourists. Dumbest thing I ever heard of. It'd be like them banning the guards here from using the expression "eh", eh?

I saw the first two. The first one especially was good.

As for my taste in men: blond, brunet, red hair, no hair, it all depends on the guy. I don't know that you can say that I have a type--except maybe male. wink

Inanity can be fun on occasion--witness the success of the "inane one-word post" thread! wink

Richard Branson's company, a textbook case for certain classes. Owns the cell-phone and record companies too.
