I still like Patricia O'Callaghan's version the best, but I love the whole Buckley cd - Grace - which I found for $7.99. I've never been very current with music, so prior to you mentionning him, I had never heard of him. Thanks. I'm going to get his other cd as well. Great upper register on that guy.)

Absolutely Semi, the boy could definitely sing- his Corpus Cristi Carol on Grace is absolutely gorgeous too, I'm not a 'rock grrrl' normally so tend to skip the few rockier numbers, though even for just Hallelujah and Corpus Cristi it's well worth buying IMO. I believe he died a few years ago now, what a tragic loss!

Anyway, glad you liked it - I hope you have many happy hours listening to it, I'll hunt down some Patricia O'Callaghan and let you know what I think (I'm sure she's top too!).

The reason the one-disc Grace can be found so cheap now is that they've just released a three CD commemorative edition - the original disc, a disc of outtakes, and a DVD.

Well sure, you guys can party on the patio - the pool's covered now. But it's nippy out there, and the occassional gust might be a bit unpleasant. I don't know about unrefined, but dunking Oreos in the wine was unusual.

I play bass, or use to, and only if I had to, never liked playing instruments, well I do like to play, just not the bass very well, I'd love to learn the harp.

Never took lessons, my cousin plays guitar and she picked it up and taught me, and then I just dabbled. I don't even have it anymore because it was a rental and being that we don't play anymore, I no longer had a use for it.

Still, it's pretty cool that you could pick it up so quickly.

I played around with one that I borrowed from a friend, but it didn't come to much.

It took me a while, Geri is really great at becoming a pro really quick, she plays guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, harmonica, and she just took up violin. And yet she wants to be a trucker.

The violin is the devil's own instrument don't you know! Certainly in untrained hands it sounds like Hell Sorry, music teacher's joke there *ahem*
