Well, since I'm having what Miner's having, I guess I _must_ have three more of everything. Besides, I can't have him outdrinking me.
(Just put it on Miner's tab.)

Three of everything for everybody.
Miner, I guess you'll be away this weekend in Dallas and we shan't be seeing you in SHAKES. We will miss you. Have a great trip. There'll be a candle burning in SHAKES window for your safe return.

Awww.
Yeah, I'm not going to have internet access, so this'll be it for the next four or five days. It should be fantastic, and I hope to return with some great stories to tell.
Now, if I could only get some sleep....

It'll be tough, but we'll hold down the fort without you, OM. The supply of booze should be doubled though without you constantly emptying it...might have to redouble our efforts...

Haven't been in a few years (and I've never been rollerblading), but it's still one of my favorite things to do. I think we all need to get together and have a Legion World skating party!

You know I'd be in, Lou! I also played hockey for about ten years, before giving it up after high school. I love skating and miss it--I've never been able to get back into the same shape I was once in, and I ache now when I try skating.
I like rollerblading too, and try to do it all summer to stay in shape.
LW skating party sounds good to me!

The last time I went skating I was so sore I could barely walk! At the time I was in Syracuse visiting my (now ex-) girlfriend, and the day after we went skating I had to drive home. It's about a two and a half hour drive, and it was sheer agony! I'm *so* out of shape...

I'm *so* out of shape... For me Lou, it was when I volunteered to help my brother coach a practice for his hockey team (twelve year olds) two years ago. I went on with half of my old equipment to really get into it (no shoulder pads or helmut), expecting to hop right back in. Forty minutes later, I was sure I'd be the first 21 year old to die of a heart attack, and sadly prepared for the twelve year old hockey players to start blowing by me...

Well as I said it's been a few years for me, but when I did skate last I could still haul ass. I was out there skating laps at full speed, dodging the other people out there. I even had to *jump over* a little kid who fell in front of me. It was either that or run over him, so I did what I had to do! I smoke, and yet I still spent a few hours skating (not at full bore the whole time mind you, I still had to spend a little time lollygagging with the old lady ) and still didn't get winded. It wasn't until the next morning when I really had to pay the price for all of my over-exertion.

(...still reeling slightly....) Looks like it could be a lonely weekend with so many people away. Maybe I'll bring my dog in to keep me company. I hate drinking alone - even if it's just orange juice.

Why not, Pizzaz? It's lots of fun. Sadly, I haven't skated since I left Philadelphia four years ago.

Could I trouble you for a cool glass of cider please?

Hey Belinda. Sure, a cool glass of cider coming right up. I've got to duck out soon. It's Friday night and I'm going shopping.

No, Semi's shopping, you'll have to have Troy or Babette help you until he gets back, which shouldn't be for a while because he should be enjoying what he bought instead of serving us.
