The first question that I would like to have answered is: How expensive is this new almanach book going to be? Still 2,99$, or do they just put the all new 3,99$ label on it?

I have to say that I don't care - never did - for Kon-El Superboy and don't give a damn about the adventures he is living through after L3W. Johns writing it might make it interesting, but as far as I can remember, Johns run on Titans did not make Superboy interesting to me so...

Paying - maybe - 3,99$ for a book which is featuring one Legionnaire at a time is definitely not very alluring. I have to confess that I currently am buying Superman for Mon-Els appearances. But I don't think the first two issues were very exciting, don't know how long I'll be staying on board. And now another "One-Legionnaire-book"? Guess I'll probably save my money for the Green Lantern books, which to me seem to be the only healthy DC franchise these days...

If it works in Oz the same as it does in the UK, LCSs put a mark-up on to cover delivery. Lots sell on a straight US$1 to £1 (one British pound) ratio. So a $3.99 comic sells for £3.99 which at today's exchange rate is US$6.34.

So yeah, we don't have anything to complain about in terms of spendage. I'd say we're lucky.

Just seeing that old script Adventure logo again was about enough to make me cry. It's about bloody time they brought it back too.

So that five page preview, which took about 15 seconds to completely digest, represents a cost of about $1?

As much as I enjoy Manipul, if they plan on pulling this crap again, I'm out after issue #1.

Manipul is so much more capable than that page 5. Page 4? Not needed. Page 3? well, I suppose not worth saying how I feel those five pages should have been done but...

After two decades of slowly destroying their own media, I'd think they'd realize that these aren't coffee table books. READERS want story.

I thought it was all right...but I'm confused (it's not hard to confuse me). Why is it called "What did Superman do?" when this is SuperBOY?

because Conner is emulating Superman - going to Smallville High, joining a Super Team etc.

Interesting that Connor's team is the Titans with no reference to his time with the reboot Legion.

best bit about the preview? Knowing that Bart wears his boots to bed.
As for the rest of it... bit dull.

Very dull. Against better knowledge, i preordered it due to the Legion backup. reading the announcement for #2 let's me hope that they're atually up to something with the Legion. Still, two thirds of the book I will probably not even read, cause I never cared for Kon-El Superboy.

Just decided to quit buying the Superman title, so DC won't get much more money out of me...

Well, that happened in the reboot Legion, which is in a different universe, so it was a differant Superboy/Kon-El altogether, I think.

And is this a new clone of Conner or the original body refurbished?
He's past the 'can never grow older' stage, too, right?

I love that things are getting less confusing.

Not really. The Rebooters are from a different universe, but all their time travel adventures were with Earth 0, so it's the same Superboy. I imagine the amount of time he spent with the Titans outweighs the few weeks (maybe months) he spent with the Legion. I didn't have a problem with it.

Where does it say that all of their time travel was with Earth 0?

Why would that happen?

They had a time arc that included Legions of different universes, so, they weren't isolated in anyway that I can tell, from the rest of the DCUs.
confused

Is their Time Trapper not considered real or their universe real?

I know that the loss of their universe wasn't like Zero Hour reboot, at least, originally.
sigh
Anyway, it's getting to the point where who cares, one way or the other?

at the SDCC today:

"What Legion or Legions is Connor going to be interacting with in Adventure Comics?" "You'll see every Legion in Adventure Comics, eventually," Johns answered.

Oh joy

I'm very pleased to hear this, myself. This way, everybody gets to see the version of the Legion that they like best, at least once in a while. And it'll be fun if different versions ever team up again in the future. smile

But!!!!

At eight pages a month it's going to take around three years (in "decompressed storytelling" mode) to finish the first arc!!

And I'm not impressed with the "shocking family secret" in issue 2.

It sounds like another pointless retcon.

Sometimes I think I'm getting too old for all this frown
