Here's a little treat to get people excited about the elections: If I was elected leader last time, here would have been my acceptance speech:

Well it makes more sense than that triumvulate nonsense. Space Whales are far more believeable than you guys on the pillage
Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Triumvirate NONSENSE? Why, you dare to question my divine being-third-to-post, er, um, RIGHT to co-rule? Ever been smothered to death by five thousand Starhaven warriors each throwing a feather at you? ... See, Cobie, this is more fun than a boring election

I think the credentials for leader should be solely based on how shapely one's you-know-whats are.

Okay, so that brings the current crop of candidates up to:
Thora Dr. Mayavale Umber (& the Boyz) Koko! COMPUTO Jr. "Sir Prize" (true identity unrevealed) Stoopid Cat Outdoor Miner
I couldn't tell if the two Double-Headers were actually running or not.
Should be a pretty interesting election nonetheless.

Sorry. I fixed it.
Why don't Brock, Ashe, & Cliff ever speak up for themselves?

They're like, too busy watching football games on TV and stuff, but I made them promise to put in an appearance and my Election HQ/Clothing Store to help drum up female and gay voters! *excited chirp!*

I thought Cliff was always watching Queer Eye for the Strait Guy?
And I'm glad Outdoor Miner is running! Now I'm torn between him, Thora and Umber!

Uh... not to slow the campaign down or anything, folks, but have we decided if, when, how, or where we're actually having the election?

It doesn't seem that way. I'd really like to hear some feed back from a whole host of others: Fat Cramer, Arachne, He Who Wanders, Stu, Pov, Numf, Abin, Sonnie etc. From what I can gather so far, it seems like the election has the green light, but with precautions! First of all, the fun level must be the most important aspect of it. The second tempers flare up or people get rude, then the fun is taken right out of it. This shouldn't be serious. To prove my point, allow me to add this And it seems like self-nominations are the best way to go to get the thing started, although we'll have to give some time for people to privately convince themselves or others to nominate themselves. As for the election itself, should it be done on the LMB Yahoo group? A lot of people have suggested it, but I wish more people could give some feed back. And I think that there should definately be voting involved, so everyone can participate (those of us who don't want to be leader) and there should be an agreement that one person gets one vote (in other words, no voting with multiple ID's). I think we're all friends enough not to break this rule, although if anyone is ever revealed to do so, we will all hate you forever . And I say Alt IDs can run! Who wouldn't be pleased if Umber were elected? More feedback?

See, there's the problem. Government regulators are always rushing to catch up with the free market and reign it in. I say, a vote for Obadiah is a vote for Legion World Libertarianism!!

I've been out of touch a lot, and I missed the last election, but I have seen some fun elections in the past. I'd like to try it. I agree that the whole idea is to have fun, after it's not like we're running for President of the US.
