There was a definite temptation to go get a can of spray-on shellaque, but in the end, we did eat it. It was vanilla with a vanilla and cream cheese frosting. Very, very rich. It was so big I ended up taking it into work last Monday and sharing it with the office.
And yes, the goofball in the picture is me. The "DM" pin was to comemorate our one-day-only First Edition D'n'D adventure, which I ran. First time I've DM'd in more than 15 years.

That is indeed one fantastic lookin' cake.
