Welcome to Legion World! I see you like fictive writing (had to look that one up) and poetry. Why not make a Legion poem and post it to Bits 'o Legionnaire Business? And while you're posting, introduce yourself!

Thank you very much for the words of welcome, sir. Nightcrawler (aka Dave Cockrum) also welcomed me via a draft notice which was equally appreciated. Gee, ferrolad, my poetic writing is one of the most difficult endeavours that I ever attempt, so you might have to wait a heck of a long time to see me post a Legion poem on this site. However, this is a very interesting challenge, so I might--repeat: might!--take you up on this proposition--if I am able to, that is. I somewhow missed your post at first and introduced myself in my first post. Nonetheless, I'm more than happy to reintroduce myself here again (in fact, my user name could just as easily be "Ham Boy." My real name, or secret identity, if you will, is Rob. I reside in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada in the province of Ontario. Presently, I am between jobs, but generally prefer working in the eduaction, social service, and / or non-profit sectors--especially in the First Nations' community. While I'm currently single, I'm hoping to someday meet a nice female legionairre and settle down to create family of baby Validus' or Cubs or something. I've been a Legion fan since the Great Darkness saga in the Levitz / Giffen days. I don't favour any one particular legionairre over the others, but most value the ones who show real class ("class" meaning those who are extremely considerate and respectful to others), just as I judge people in real life. In the previous continuity, Monstress and Sensor come to mind in this respect; in the current, new reality, Starboy has won me over for his "they're not here for us, we're here for them" comment. Finally, as those of you who remember me from the DC board may recall, I'm a huge fan of the Legions from the Levitz / Giffen and Giffen Bierbaums eras. Having said this, however, I'm more than happy to give Mr. Kitson's version of the Legion a chance, especially in light of the fact that the newest incarnation of the group has yet to be fleshed out. Phew! That was a lot of typing; you'd think I was tenured or something. Thanks for letting me share. Long live the Legion!
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

In the immortal words of Elvis Presley: "Thank you--thank you very much!" Gee, now I feel like having an Eskimo Pie. Unfortunately, I don't even know exactly what an Eskimo Pie is! A pie made from snow, perhaps?

I feel soooo stupid. I thought that I'd remembered Dave's handle from the DC board, but I was obviously mistaken. Your own words of welcome are appreciated just as greatly, though, Night Crawler. Thanks for them and for the clarification (I wish I had Shikari's power to help to see me see the "true path").
