I'm "moving" the Poll announcement topic over here because, well, MMB is where the action is! The Legion Forum used to be the top posting forum, but it seems that was a while ago.

I'm also making a change. I won't be updating the title anymore. A bit of work to keep doing that and then also bump-post. So whenever I'm opening a new Poll or one of mine has closed, I just post an announcement.

I invite all my fellow pollsters to use this topic for their own Poll announcements as well!

As such, these are the current Polls running over there:

Top 25 MOST POWERFUL Legionnaires poll game!!!

Legionnaire PERSONALITY POLL # 2

POLL: BEST & WORST Of The Year In Legion

How would you like to be described?

Legion World Election - December 2003

The Legion Companion

The return of Choose Wisely!

Who shot JFK?

One minor announcement is that I've decided to cut back on my Final Tally posting. If I feel it there is a lot of material and it warrants it, I may do some ordering of the stats to provide easier comparison of the results.

Or I may just provide a short list of what I feel are the key results of the Poll.

So, drop on over to Planetary Chance Machine and have some more fun!

No announcement this time, but a question.

With all the anticipation and excitement of the Election due in part to it's "sealed" Polling, I'm wondering whether or not I should start sealing my Legionnaire Personality Polls, so that there's a twice weekly anticipatory "mini-event" for a while around here.

I can make these "scheduled" events. Since I intend to run these Legionnaire Personality Polls once every three or four days, I could set the same days and closetimes each week. Say perhaps Sundays (or Saturdays) and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM PST.

[As the Pollster, I don't need Polling visability anymore since I'm no longer doing the detailed stats reorganized Final Tallies. So I also would have no idea of the results until "Close Day."]

Twice regular weekly dates with three Legionnaire's therapists! It's starting to grow on me!

Anybody have opinions on it? So, two issues here: sealing the Polling, and if so, regular "event" closeday & times.

Reep,

no opinion one way or the other. You should set up your polls as you see fit.

As always, Quis.

Just asking for feedback on changing a basic feature of a Poll that several people have expressed enthusiasm about, and whether they feel the change might diminish their enjoyment or even increase it.

But perhaps this might not be a good time for such inquiries with the Election results minutes away!!

I enjoy watching the results come in on the personality polls.

Reep, I'm with KP. Once I've voted I really enjoy going back and seeing the numbers change as more people vote.

I do too, V. It's a lot of fun. But with the hubbub of the Election results anticipation, I was wondering about a similar "big payoff" approach with sealed Polling.

However if nobody argues for that, then I'll try sealed Polling somewhere down the line with a different type of Poll.

No. It's sorta like an extended election night coverage. So I'll keep open-viewing on most Polls, but there may come a time when sealed Polling is appropriate.

Glad you had fun, BB.
