Hurray! I got it today, I read it at once, I liked it thouroughly - and I understood it all, though this is a Final Crisis book! Ha! smile

My special favorite: The ending. Instead of the usual "All Whiteout everything starts from scratch again" crisis approach we went for a smaller solution - Superboy beating himself. Why exactly did he vanish when he struck his older self? I don't know, but I don't care cause it was a decent way to (for the moment) get rid of this terrible character and making fun of him at the same time. The two scenes on Earth Prime were priceless in my eyes. The inside joke about how long this series took to finish, Supes talking to the reader, all the comics lying around - this is not genius, but pure fun. Geoff Johns simply knows how to entertain, and I absolutely did not see this solution coming...

Other main fact I liked: The ending left the field open for a decent new Legion book. Some danglers for the future were already sown like Black With or the missing Legionnaires, the team was left intact in spite of Prime being the villain (the body count was way smaller than I feared in the beginning), and for the Reboot fans, the addition of XS and Gates should certainly be an incentive.

I will never become an XS fan, that's for sure - but to include those two Reboot characters in the new Retroboot /Para-classic Legion is a great idea. Giving the other two Legion a purpose in the Multiverse? Good writing. You never know when you might reuse those guys again.

The major double spread page was another favorite of mine. Chemical King was there - and so many others, and even as a livelong Legion fanatic, I could not make out every character. Just a joy to watch, as was Perez art all over this series.

So in spite of the fact that much of the screen time was robbed by Titans and Green Lanterns, this series was great. I really thought it was a very good way to solve the conundrum that three Legions provided, and I guess the outcome is one most Legion lovers can live with - no stupid amalgamations, so Fourthboot. I guess I will be getting the HC as well just to show my appreciation (and to have a handy volume for me to pikc up at any minute).

So thank you, George Perez, thank you, Geoff Johns (and Mister Koblish and so on) - it took some while, but it was worth the wait. I really hope that there will be a new Legion book going from here.

As long as the multiverse gets you to the place where Phase and Tinya are Carggite triplets, I'm okay with it.

(I'm sorry SK, I can't seem to get my head to think the situation any other way.)
You'll just have to spell it out for me.

Just as when the Legion of Earth-247 kept traveling to New Earth, the reasonable explanation is that whatever brought Phase to Earth in the first place, after she got separated from Tinya and Unknown Tinya Triplet #3 brought her to New Earth from the Earth-247 timeline.

So, somewhere in the Earth 0 Universe, the reboot Tinya has a second body/personality kicking around?

Well, okay.
I hope we get to meet her sometime soon.

Here's the events:

1. Luonel steals 2/3 of the kids from Winnema on Earth 247

2. One of the kids gets sent back in time and crosses over to Earth 0 to become Phase.

3. Winnema's third of the kid grows up to become Apparition.

4. Apparition gets blowed up good by the White Triangle.

5. Incorporial Apparition hangs out with Ultra-Boy.

6. Emerald Vi sends them back through time and across to Earth 0.

7. Phase and Apparition meet and merge, eventually heading back to Earth 247

8. No one knows what happened to baby #3.

It just seemed like a good guess that if the other 2/3s of Tinya got pulled to Earth 0, the lost 1/3 would too.
Especially since we saw that the lost baby was given to the Luck Lords.
We've seen them in the Earth 0 universe, right?

Funny that when Wildfire got Superboy Prime punched, he said "NNRRGG" considering he once used the codename "N.R.G." I imagine Johns is up on stuff like that...

What a bunch of wise acres!
(That was one of my Dad's sayings.)

It obviously starts in childhood and just hangs on for the rest of the ride.

Wasn't Clay Henry one of those guys who allegedly got svelte eating at Subway?

Will I have to buy their crappy sandwiches just to get a few cheapjack Legion toys? If so, I can't support this. Sorry.

Thanks for the alert, Sarcasm Kid.

Is it just me, or did anyone else read that title as Justin Thyme: Legion of Super-Heroes Co-Feature?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

I can't read the red letters in the yellow blogs so I don't know who the black haired woman is in front of Gim.

Lar's missing and how come Shady is the only one in a bikini?
She should be embarrassed.

Other than that, it's a nice looking but very grim looking bunch.

Did Supes do this before or after Lo3W, because he sure looks their age?!

sigh I miss the days when girl Durlans didn't have hair.

Overall, it looks pretty nice, though.

And I miss the days when limited series were published in prestige format.

I'll make a definitive statement after I read the book. I just wish DC would provide a preview for Blackest Night #2.
