The double page spread could be the 101 characters that Scott Koblish refered to but "make you cry" sounds ominous.

ending out of the "twilight Zone"? hmmmm..

we need previews NOW!

I suspect he means that issue # 5 has finally emerged from the twilight zone it was stuck in.

I recently read issues #1-4 since I didn't really remember much that had happened. I was...kinds bored, actually. I hope the payoff is worth it...

Amazed that there were no preview images released this weekend! I think the book could use a bit of a push about now. I'm pretty sure hardcore Legion fans like myself are with it to the end, but other people may have gotten fed up with all the delays.

Here's my guess on what will happen. The classic Legion survives but absorbs the younger counterparts -- making them about the age they were in the 70s (late teens/early 20s). They retain all the memories, but are just younger than they've been in quite some time.

I wasn't bored, but I did get annoyed that so much of the story focused on Green Lantersn, Connor Kent and Bart Allen. The Legion became guest-stars in their own book.

The last chapter of Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds is due out this week - pick up a copy and catch up with some old friends. Well, lots of old friends, actually.

I'll be at the San Diego convention on Wednesday at the Hero Initiative Booth #907 on Wednesday (see below) and then meandering about with no discernible purpose for the next two days. Hope to see you there!

Legion Sketch Cards at the Hero Initiative Booth!

in addition to drawing sketches of whatever Legionnaires the crowd wants in return for a reasonable charitable donation (I'm going to leave it up to the charity to figure out what the cost should be, although I'm sure it will be reasonable), I'll also have these little sketch cards I did up today. I drew about 20 of them, all in their Lo3W's costumes, 16 are here...

Wednesday at the Con from 6:30 to 9pm at the Hero Intiative Booth, #907.

I disagree. Connor was an honorary member of the Reboot Legion, and Bart Allen was born in the 30th/31st century and is a cousin of a Legionnaire. As far as I'm concerned, they're legitimate subjects in a Legion story. Green Lantern Sodam Yat wasn't nearly as much involved as you seem to think. The primary characters in this book are Legionnaires and their established villains, and the setting is very recognizably the Legion's classic millieu.

Part of the perception might be that when Bart, Connor or GL appear on-panel, they have an individual focus, whereas the Legion (with the exception of Brainiac 5 and Polar Boy) appear en masse, with a minimum of individualized characterization or action.

I imagine since it looks like it went to press just under the wire, coupled with the fact that the DC offices are in full blown Comic-con prep mode, they just didn't have time to release a preview.

Anybody who feels like being spoiled a bit for FC:L3W #5 can check out DiDio's latest 20-questions thing at Newsarama:

In DiDio's defense, he seems to have been under the impression that the comic book would have already come out by the time anyone saw this.

Here it is.

So, he goes to Earth Prime.
To do what, suddenly become who he was before?
To undo all of the killing he's done?
Does the old boot get the Prime DCU's Lanterns to replace the ones killed by Prime?
Does Prime become the Trapper in that universe, our universe?
Does the old boot/reboot/3boot get Earth Prime's future Rond Vidar and Zoe and Sun Boy and Element Lad to replace killed Legionnaires?

Sounds like a bit of a mess.
sigh

Just a few hours to go.
