. . .

3) The main point of this saga was the reintroduction of the 31st century Green Lanterns, the reintroduction of Bart Allen, and the reintroduction of Conner Kent. The emphasis will remain on these points and not much will be added on the Legion front.
Yeah, you're probably right (on the other 2 points as well, but this seemed the most telling and absolutely true.)

sigh

What I'd LIKE to happen is that we get a book about the originals, whom I find quite boring (with some of the 3boot characters kept.)
frown
sorry

And a book about the reboots, their search for their home universe and the reason for it's loss.
(We haven't been told, have we?)
Maybe a little like 'Legion on the Run', only this time, the Legion isn't running from something but to something.
Perhaps with a couple of mentor types included, and a space ship rather than just holding on to each other!
smile
I think they should certainly find Shikari's people and Nura's and quite a few others who might have had a clue about the coming dieaster and survived what happened, whatever that was.

oh well

nooOOOOOOOOOOO!

So close, then rrrRIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP! The rug is pulled out from under us! Why? Is it undergoing a rewrite?

Ok, here's an interesting if bizarre comment by George Perez at HeroesCon this weekend. BTW, he couldn't be nice or more gracious. He was signing in exchange for donations to the Hero Initiative which benefits retired artists and such.

I had him autograph the cover of a variant L3W #1, and as I thanked him I jokingly said "you don't happen to have a copy of #5 on you, do you?" He laughed and said, "No, I'm afraid not."
I said "I'm interested to see how that turns out,"(thinking it was still coming out this Wednesday.)

Here's the interesting part. He said "So am I."
confused hmmm

Just in case anyone's keeping score, FC:LO3W #1 came out August 20, 2008!
(This was back when "W" was still U.S. President, the N.Y. Giants were reigning Super Bowl champs, and the U.S. national deficit was only in the Billions)

We've passed the ten month mark for this series - and counting...

Yeah let's dance! Dance to the beauty of George Perez' artwork and to the fact that the series thus far was NOT crap (unlike the Final Crisis main series)!!!

Dance, dance, dance... the book could be coming out in December in my eyes as long as we get a satisfying ending and Perez artwork from page 1-32...

Hey guys, I just thought of something. Grant Morrison announced in that interview about his Multiversity project that one of the Earths would be home to the 90s heroes. Anyone think there's possibilies of the 247-Legion now being from that Earth?

Theories for the end of LO3W--

-- Element Lad, Dream Girl, Chameleon Boy and Matter-Eater Lad arrive via time bubble in the nick of time at one of the fronts. Nura's following a vision.

-- A Legionnaire resurrection, for a breath of fresh air. Chemical King's back... he put himself into a verrrrrry slow biological state when he uttered his 'last' words about his own 'unique properties'.

-- Unfortunately, there'll be more deaths.

-- Waidboot goes home and is available for 'future stories'.

-- Reboot either adopts a Legion-less future, or it's survivors combine with Johnsboot LSH.

-- Dark horse... some number of characters go back in time to current DCU to live indefinitely.

-- Bigger darkhorse... Superboy and Kid Flash play supporting roles in the final issue and the Legions actually get the lion's share of focus and development.

I have this crazy idea that the reboot Legion is going to become the 31st-century Green Lantern Corps.

Do you agree or have you your own theories?
I hope that somehow it all kind of resets back to the pre-no-superboy legion and the last 20 odd years are treated as a mulligan (I'm not a golfer so I hope I'm using the term correctly).

Your theories were fun and entertaining BUT, I have a problem with your last one. They do that type of thing in comics and I think its wrong, just because you don't remember the crimes that you've committed doesn't mean that you're not guilty of having committed them. And it certainly does not heal the hurt caused by those crimes. In my mind, Superboy-Prime needs to pay for his sins. If he actually is TT, perhaps that would make TT an even greater threat/villian to the DC as a whole. I just don't get how Kryptonian powers translate into time manipulation. [/b]
I have a variation on that theory. What if they realize that Earth Prime didn't get destroyed and TT remembers he's got massive cosmic powers and pulls his younger self back to Earth Prime before the kid gets put in the crystal bubble with Luther? Then they can teach him to time travel and he can join the threeboot Legion. It's a major paradox, but can that be avoided at this point?

I'm hoping that members of the reboot Legion survive and join the Johns Legion. I really hope preboot Shrinking Violet and Timberwolf survive. They're still my faves.

Matthew E probably has that solution. There are all those GL rings laying about. Not sure I agree it's a good way to go but it is a plausible outcome of the story.

That can't be from the book... can it?

Also, if the inks are only done now, and assuming they aren't issuing a B&W issue, we're pretty much looking at an August release, right?

I'm guessing that the robotic hand with the "Superboy Prime" ring on it belongs to Tharok, especially considering that Mano's busted helmet appears to be close to it.

Maybe the other panels got sent to color as soon as they were inked and this is only the last needing to be sent?

If it would speed things up a bit, I'll offer up my services and 64 crayola's.

Somehow this art looks different to me. Be interesting to compare side by side with the other books.

The art DOES look a little different.
Is the panel shown just a snippet of the full 101 characters or a different page altogether?

But it could certainly be from the book, having 2 Chams, 2 Brins, a Sneckie, a Shikari, and a LeViathan.

Ah well.
We'll probably know sometime before the end of this summer.
geez

If we're lucky.

I guess my Tharok guess is wrong - colored, it looks like the armored hand of Dr. Regulus.

A similar idea occurred to me a while back. I have the feeling back in John's Legion story in Action Comics that the Subs, especially Rainbow Girl, were geared towards becoming something more - say, Green Lanterns?

Anyway, I like these ideas!

A full page with 101 Legion characters on it should be worth the price of admission alone.

i don't think so: look at the left arm of threeboot colossal boy, it does even have the frame of mordru's "magic mirror" on it.
maybe i reduced the picture too much, but i guarantee you that it's the very same drawing.

anyway, what i want to say is just that i wish mr. koblish posted on his blog something i hadn't already seen, cause i'm dying out of curiosity. i guess he just chose a picture that better rendered the idea of his happyness.

What does it say about DC when issue # 4 was so long ago that many of us (such as myself) did not recognize the image from Koblish's blog as coming from there?
