Heavy Metal artist Alex Horley signing a print we bought from him of Dracula and his brides. I've always loved this guys work and he spent the whole show slaving away on commissions for con-goers. The only thing I didn't get while I was there that I really wanted was some original art. I will rectify that (if we get to go) in Dallas.

This is Stacy Walker, the model for most of Alex's females. She also signed our print and posed with it.

I can see I'm going to have to take a lot of money (or an empty credit card) to Dallas.

These guys were not, to my knowledge, associated with the Lucas booth. They were just going around and posing for anyone.

They busted this guy for "Driving While Jedi". I don't think even Quislet could have gotten him off.

Back in the 80's I went to San Diego (twice) ONe day I wore an ACT-UP T-shirt that had Clark Kent & Dick Tracy locked in a kiss. The top read "Clark wants Dick" the bottom read "Dick wants a condom"

Even the people at the DC table liked the shirt. But this one guy started going on to me about it. I just ignored him.

Scott, great pics! I've had a crush on Eliza Dushku since her first appearance as Faith on Buffy, and she looks great! Why, I'd pick her to play Space Tart in the LMB Movie (her or Jessica Alba)!

Thanks Cobie! I've always loved to take pics, actually was paid for it at one time when I was a photographer (as well as editor, typesetter, layout artist, etc) on a newspaper. And I have fun with my digital but I do want one a bit more fancy one of these days.

So, ok... I live in Austin... Arlington/Dallas/Ft Worth is only a short 3 hour car ride for me. Is this Wizard World Texas? Where can I find some more info on this con?

If I go this will be the first con I have ever atteneded. Any advice for the newbie?

She-Ra makes me feel sad. That's almost as bad as those pictures of the lady in the fishtank with the snake to promote Species III. What a gig that must have been.

It is Wizard World Texas. And as for advice, bring comfortable shoes (no sandals) and a handkerchief (or something similar). Even for those who think they don't sweat I found that the temp in these convention centers isn't regulated well in regards to the number of bodies filling the place up. And if you want sketches bring your own sketchpad. I would also suggest a backback that you are comfortable carrying to carry anything you buy in. Oh, and bring a bottle of water unless you want to pay $3 or more for a 12 ounce bottle.

And this is from someone who has only been to one con. You learn fast.

Thomas took this the first day. I've seen other shots of her on other sites where she looked 'happier'. I think she was just overwhelmed on the first day. He also got a shot of the girl in the Species tank but I never did she her in person. I would not have wanted to spend my time in a glass cage. Walking around was bad enough.

I may come down and see the con. Maybe I convince some friends to go up with, leave me there durning the day and go out at night.
