Something else else just occurred to me, similar to the Lightning Lad thing above: I would give much to see just how impressed by, and jealous of, Atom Girl is with regards to LeViathan's expanded power set.

Speaking of which, I wasn't completely in tune with the threeboot, so were Phantom Girl and Ultra Boy dating at all in those stories? Did she have a guy at all?

This week's DC Nation features a L3W spoiler of a Perez-drawn Kon-El punching Prime.

If they DO bring him back, it be in a new body.

Two Kon-Els! The new, revived one, and his old, dead husk in the past. Maybe. It sounded more plausible when I thought it up.

Can we be sure it's a spoiler for and not a flashback panel referencing Infinite Crisis?

In the beginning, Tinya was dating someone from her home dimension.
KKId watched her in bed with the guy (just PG ~ it must have been a little like listening to someone on a cell, only . . .ummm).

He broke up with her and we never saw her with anyone else that I remember.

Jo had certainly been with Ayla and was with Shady most of that run, with the Imra silliness at the end.
I wonder what kind of thoughts the DnA Imra and the Shooter Imra could exchange about Jo.

DC Site says April 8th. Perez said he was still pencilling it back a New York Comic Con. If so, that's pretty tight. I wouldn't be surprised to see it slip.

I had this fanfic-ish type idea that Match would turn out to have some tenuous connection to the spirit of Kon-El (and that Kon-El couldn't 'pass on' because of this connection), and that Raven and Miss Martian, combining telepathy and whatever-the-heck-Raven-does, would be able to awaken that spark (spark, match, get it?), using their powers, and the power of sunlight to purify his body and mind, turning him from Match into Kon-El.

But yeah, Black Lantern mass ressurection stuff. Whuteva.

Who or what is Match?

He was a failed clone of Superboy. His Bizarro.

He wasn't a failed clone orginially. Originally he was a "superior" clone created from Kon's DNA but some, you know, bad group. He was stable because he was a clone of a clone, not a clone of an original like Bizarro.

He had white hair and white skin, but had much greater control of his tactile telekenisis than Kon-El (Clone Superboy) and could even shoot something out of his eyes (I think they were called TTK blasts but I don't remember).

It was actually a cool foil for Superboy, a guy better at using his powers and also "smarter". Ron Marz's run was good but the art was so horrible I only read it once.

However, for reasons that I don't think were fully explained Match all of a sudden became a Bizarro type character and his IQ dropped by more than two/thirds.

So were we had a villain that would have been capable of psychologically torturing the Titans (and Match did pose as Superboy for a period during Young Justice) we have a "Bizarro" character because, I dunno, Superman has Bizarro and heaven forbid that Superboy's villains don't match to Superman's perfectly *rolls eyes*

Sorry, I really like Geoff Johns, but I disagree with almost everything he did to Superboy and was really disappointed in his use of Match, just leave Match in limbo if you don't have a good use for him, but Bizarro isn't that great of an idea.

So finally, I got my copy of #3 as well and read it first of my monthly bunch.

Great stuff! Liked the trhee Jos and Tinyas scene, liked Reboot Brainy once more bashing Threeboot Brainy for his ridiculous "Eat it grandpa" attitude. Cool! Like to see the battered Sun Boys - the one dying, the other going through a psychological crisis - and I really like to see the Legions beginning to turn the wheel around.

Two questions remaining though:

1) Why on Earth is Prime so scared of Impulse, a character who only worked as comic relief in any book I read (I don't read any Flash)??? Not the most fear inspiring character in my eyes....

2) Brainy explaining the continuity... now does this mean that all the three Legions, when time travelling, always travelled to New Earth? And does this mean that the Reboot is Earth 247, the Action Legion is from New Earths future and the Threeboot is from... another important Elseworld?

And did this first crossover ever really happen in a comic book - Negative Flash, Starman, I can't seem to remember it - or is Johns just making it up to explain the new continuity?

Please help....

As far as I know, Johns is indeed making up the crossover as you assumed. I have no idea what's going on with the multiverse or the Flash family though. Can't help you there.

Johns is making it up. Retconned-in backstory for a new multiverse.

Kurt Busiek did the same thing in issue # 3 of the Avengers/JLA crossover.
