This makes no sense! I've been here for days and no one has appeared or explained what they want.

What purpose could be served by kidnapping me and dropping me off here? Did they need to keep me from doing something?

Wait, what was that? It sounded like the Empress! So sad! And that blue streak in the sky, so bright! What's happened?

*Vee! I finally sense his presence again but barely!

A burst of emerald energy explodes in the air in front of Vee, startling him and knocking him backwards. It blinds him for a moment but as his eyes adjust he sees the Eye of Ekron floating not 5 feet ahead of him

Success. Now to carry out HER orders.

"The Eye! Here? How?

Again the green glow grows in intensity until Vee must squint and shade his eyes in order to vaguely see what is happeneing. The Eye seems to be focused intently on him, pulsing with energy.

"What is..."

Just then, a brilliant beam burst forth, aimed directly at him and strikes him square on the forehead, searing his vision and knocking him unconscious. When the light subsides all that remains is the sprawled form of Vee in the planetoid's dust.

The Emerald Eye's trail leads here... But there's nothing... Wait...

<Lands next to the still form sprawled in the dust>

Ra..Ranger? How? Is it really you?

Man it's good to see you. I thought I was a goner for good, and when the Eye...why would the Eye attack me like that. It just appeared out of nowhere over there...

As Vee points to the spot, a flash of emerald energy bursts from his hand and forms a holo image of the Empress.

Variable One, if you are seeing this message, then I have failed in my effort to rescue you and paid the ultimate price. Fear not though, I have prepared for this and given the Eye of Ekron orders that should anything happen to me it was to seek you out and protect you from harm. The Eye is now yours, my friend. I can think of no one better to wield its power for good.

Whoa! But the Eye isn't here. It blasted me with a huge burst of energy and... Ranger? Could it be? Did the Eye transfer it's power...into me?

I was in the neighbourhood monitoring a nearby quasar and I saw this planetiod is now engulfed in a green light that it makeing all my scanners go crazy and came to investigate.

PolarBoy! Man, it's good to see you too! Be careful though, as Ranger and I have just discovered, it appears I'm now infused with the power of the Emerald Eye of Ekron but I'm not sure how to control it as of yet.

Vee... Wow! A moment ago you were at death's door and now...

You're glowing, but it's not green, more golden than anyting else but not exactly that color either... It's like nothing I've ever seen before...

Are you sure it was just the eye? After all that is Star 69 right over there...

<Encases Vee, Ranger, and PolarBoy -how'd he get here?- in green energy bubble and starts slowly floating the group out into space>

Wait Abin! Wait, somethings wrong...there. Don't ask me how I know 'cause I don't but our friends are there and they're about to be big in trouble. We need to get there fast!

Concentrating for a moment, Vee summons the infinite power bequeath to him by the Empress. Sensing it's willingness to serve, he forms a mental image of what must be done. Suddenly Abin's protective sphere is enclosed by another this one a variable colored one, it's hues changing from green to gold to blue to red...orange, purple...and on and on. The 4 LMBPers are wisked off the asteroid and transported to the ship Vee had sensed... The Monitor\'s Ship.

<All of a sudden, all of the LMBers are teleported to the desolate planetoid circling Star 69, as they see in the distance the Monitor\'s Ship explode!!!

Abin Quank and Vee keep them all from feeling the cold depths of space.

Silence overtakes them.>

Perhaps now...is a time for some figuring this all out.

Or perhaps now is a time to find a place to land and warm up the atmosphere Vee and I brought along.

Umm Cobie, has anyone seen Beegz since this Crisis started??? Hmmm...????

A huge shadow passes overhead causing the heroes to flinch.

Looking up they are pleased to see that it is not the shadow from the monitors ship.

Pleased that is until they make out just what it is. Passing overhead is a huge tick. It rear distented and tranlucent.

"Look at the size of that thing", says Vee.

"my ring tells me its about the size of Manhatten Island" gasps Abin

As they watch they see the rear end of the tick convulse and thousands of small ticks ejected into space.

Faraway Lad wakes up and takes one look at the huge thing flying overhead.

"Is that a.... I have to check something..."

And he is gone.


Overhead the huge Queen Tick carries on flying past the asteroid towards a planet in a nearby star system.

Hundreds of the ticks float down towards the planets surface.

Gawd Far... what is it with you and ticks lately?

I got bit a few times whilst out walking, saw the film and then decided it would be fun to have Legion world invaded by horrible scuttling annoying little critters. And as the care bears had already been done………

Princess, I haven't got a clue about what happened on the Monitor's Ship. Except that several of the monitors seemed to be following LMBPers like Beagle Boy, Harbinger, and Kara...

Er, hold on, guys... Now that the Hunt for the Necklaces is over, and now that time is passing normally for me again, my other aspects are gonna meet me up here.

(IB Yellow turns himself into pure light. Six more streaks of light come from the direction of Legion World, and all seven beams colaesce to for IB)

Whew. It's good to be whole again. I'll need some time to recharge, though.

Well....I don't know what was going on up there either and I'm not at all thrilled about being back on this dust ball, I can assure you of that. But this planetoid does seem to be the center of whatever it is that's going on so it would probably be a good idea if we can figure out why it's so important.

Suddenly LAM and Hrun appear before a dumbfounded IB (as detailed here.)

"LAM? Hrun? How did you get here?" Vee asked. "IB said he last saw you back on Legion World."

"It's the lune-i-ticks," LAM explained. When the bite you they seem to transfer some dimension hopping powers to you for a short time while they leech out some memories. Hrun figured it out."

"Really? Wait a minute, if the ticks can do that...IB didn't you say that Connie, you and the other Super Pets were the first to face these lune-i-ticks down in the Tesseract network? And that they seemed to have come from out of no where?"

"Yeah," IB replied. "Almost like they popped up out of thin air."

"Reboot? Could they be from an other dimension? And if so, what does that mean and who sent them here?" Vee asked.

"More importantly...why were they sent?" the Princess added.
