No, no, no, not your favorite toppings, but the type of pizza you've eaten recently!

August 9, 2007: Pepperoni pizza

Last one before that: Sausage pizza

I admit that living between New Haven, CT (best pizza in all the world) and Brooklyn & New Jersey means I've kind of got it made for pizza lovers. But by all means, let me know the type of pies you've been scarfing down lately! Leave no details out: extra garlic? Fresh basil?

Pizza: bad for your body, great for your soul!

I remember eating pizza one day in January. It was my favourite, veggie.

I don't remember if I've had pizza since I started Weight Watchers in February.

I know, I've hardly eaten it for the past two years or so, so when I do, I usually remember it now. laugh

I buy a slice occasionally if there's nothing better in terms of quick food if i'm in transit over the lunch hour.

The last pizza that I actually sat down for was a grilled eggplant, zucchini and sun dried tomato thing on the nastiness known as 'spelt crust'.

I know pizza without meat that sweats oil, such blasphemy, but my restaurant decision power has been limited in recent months. Though I can still claim that I eat what I want.

Last one was pepperoni, from Oblio's. The closest to NY style pizza west of the Mississip.

I had pizza today.

It was spicy chiken, and chilli beef.

Might not sound too great but it was bloody lovely.

I had pizza (takeout) a couple weeks ago, during my vacation in Philly. Can't remember the name of the place, but the pizza was great.

Pepperoni is my poison. I accept no substitutes.

I had this amazing chicken pizza the other day. It's chicken and buffalo hot sauce and hot peppers and cheese and.. ohmigod. So good. The indigestion is less good but still. Yummy.

The last pizza I had was at some joint near the Chicago Comic-con last summer. It was fantastic! But I only had one slice, since I've become lactose-intolerant.

For the past few years, I've made pizza without cheese - but it's just not the same. frown

Well, if no one else is going to be a nosy busybody--

WHY, Quis?

Last pizza eaten, the other week... "The Sicilian" feom Destiny Diner... a weird little alfredo/chicken & pepperoni/mozarella and provolone.

They also have the "Early Morning", featuring kielbasa sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, onions and cheddar. I've always been vaguely fascinated but haven't tried it.

A week ago Sunday, a vegetarian special from Big Daddy's Gourmet Pizza. Fresh, delicious, made with loving care, and they deliver clear out here to the sticks. Thin, fresh-made crust, light sauce of red and yellow Roma tomatoes, fresh diced basil, oregano, garlic and parsley. Toppings of chopped artichoke hearts, fresh chopped spinach, red and green peppers, black and green olives, and sun dried tomatoes. Scott had them add a few tosses of feta cheese and fresh sliced mozerella. Every couple weeks having this, we don't even feel guilty about it.

the odd thing about pizza in Edmonton is what they mistakenly call pepperoni... it's somewhere between ham and salami, but it is not pepperoni.

not that I'm against regional variations (pizza as we know it itself was initially a variation on Italian flat pies). just observing an amusing oddity.

Last Pizza I had was during a recent trip to Chicago. Sausage, tomato, green pepper and onions.

Chicago pizza is the best.

Large chicken and pizza from Dominos.

Prior to that a vegetarian one in a little pizzeria in Montparnasse, Paris. With artichoke heart, eggplant, brocolli and sliced tomato. Not enough meat for my taste.....

Coming across to NY next month - can anyone recommend a great place to get pizza?

I'll admit that Brooklyn pizza has plenty of girth, but Chicago pizza is DEEP, man. Like really DEEP.

I've done exactly that on several occasions.

Chicago pizza is better.

Guys, guys, guys. Chicago pizza can't hold a candle to Brooklyn pizza. Honestly, its not even in the same ballpark smile
