Hey!! If they're definitely running into the Bradster, I want in!

Are the LW 'Thelma and Louise' gearing to ride? Should we start coordinating a day to meet up? I have a few other friends I want to meet up with but I definitely want to catch the LW gang if at all possible.

I don't think I'll have enough money, so it doesn't look good for me .

But next summer might be a different story, if everyone is going to plan on making this an annual thing! If I ever find a job and save money, I might try to make a cross country trip through Memphis so Lash and I can take on the country--one LMBer at a time!

Here's my plan for next summer:

Get enough money together and hope Pov does, and then make our way across country to Cali! Hopefully everyone will meet up next summer to! We can make our way down to Memphis and pick up Lash (along with any others on the way) and then drive out to Cali in style, causing mayhem as we go. First we'll paint the South red and then head for the West Coast!

A few stops will be in order on the way to other LWers who won't be there too! It'd be great to get a ton of people together for a group picture...

And next time Darden's in town, another meeting of as many East Coast LMBers as possible.

And then after all this, we can plan the first ever LMB British Isles Con.

Sadly, none of this can happen for me quite yet, I'm just a poor grad student

we are aiming for another east coast trip, say to New York to do the tourist thing, around April/May next year. So anyone who want to meet up let me know. We may need to book a room or something

West coast? I would love too but the cost is just too much for the two of us, maybe the year after?

And as for the first LMB British con, oh yes! I hear Northumberland is particularly attractive this time of year. (and you don't have to pay inflated London prices)

Well, me and my bf will be there this year with bells on... Except that we won't be wearing any bells... Probably just t-shirts and shorts, really... Footwear of some type... Maybe a hat or sunglasses...

I can not afford a trip to San Diego. Likely, that is something that will forever remain beyond my means.

I'd still like to take the great cross county Legion Worlders train ride to San Diego, but that, barring a sudden lottery win, shall remain a wistful dream.

Still, anything on the east coast would be do-able for me.

I'd like to suggest a New York City get together (only a 10 hour drive for me) timed to the upcoming relaunch.

There are enough of us that are also musical fans, that maybe we could add a broadway show to the itinerary? I'm also betting that DC must give group tours of their offices, maybe we could arrance that too?

Since new Legion launching in December, perhaps set East Coast LW Meet for a weekend in early January, 2005?

Maybe something like this:
**Maybe arrive Friday day, meet for lunch somewhere
**tour DC offices Friday afternoon
**dinner (maybe we can invite & treat Paul Levitz and/or other Legion DC staffers?)
**Fri night broadway show
**sat day do the group tourist thing, see statue of liberty, empire state, other attractions,
** sat lunch
**sat afternnon ice skating in rockefeller center
**sat dinner (maybe in costume? have fun with a mock Legion World "meeting" & games)
** sat night broadway show (still in costume?)
**sun morning brunch & goodbyes

Whatdya think? Any east coasters (or others) up for it?

Any members in NYC area want to act as host/event planner?
