I have a pretty good knowledge of the Legion since I've been collecting their title since 1964 and have re-read the entire run of Adventure Comics several times. I haven't read the newer stuff as much and i can't recall it in as much detail as you guys. However, since I came back to the title (left after Archie Legion started), I've been thinking about digging out those 70's and 80's issues for some refresher reading. I'm really liking what's going on now. And this forum is great!

Anyway, I was born in Nova Scotia and migrated to New Brunswick in '77.

Okay so my curiosity was piqued and I did a cursory search. FC/Maritmer, do those Irvings own everything up there? I didn't read all the available info, but they seem like pretty heavy hitters. Are they evil or benevolent tyrants? Should I fear them, even though I am safely out of their range, I think?

Let's see, they own an oil refinery, several paper mills, shipyards, radio stations, daily newspapers, bus line, several large trucking companies and many other small businesses. Also hundreds (if not more) of Mainway service stations.
I remember they were working their way down through the eastern United States until Standard Oil lobbyed Congress to stop them at Massachusetts I believe. This far and no farther!!
