It has a history, and a good one, and I feel it works. The LMB Leader will never have any power, and I mean none whatsoever, over the Security Office. Oh well, so much for compromise and working together
Perhaps a third party entity, run by yourself, could have some type of 'audit' status, that allows you full access to all files, which you can then take to the 'former LMB leader' council? Or something like that. Hmmmm...a former Leaders Council. I kinda like that idea.
Real Life Disclaimer - And jeepers folks! Taking that away from me would be like taking SHAKES from Semi, Cafe Cramer from FC or Kid Prime's Room from Kid Prime. It just wouldn't be fair. I put a lot of time and effort in there over the last two years Is that what young people are calling what you do in there these days?

My constituents have demanded I take a hard line against the intrusion of regulation and the inherent paternalism of your so-called ethics into the evil genius creative process.
There will be no compromise or even negotiations on any points of until our minimum demands our satisfied.
Ethical review boards are to be selected amongst a pool of peers to be determined by the person subject to review
A minimum of one third of all votes in any election system
A veto over any and all future constitutional change in perpetuity

You dare mock the legitimate aspirations of the Evil Genius Caste, Janitor?
You shall pay for your impudence.

Ah, Tamper, perhaps, just maybe, the aspirations of the Evil Genius Caste are infringing on the others just a bit.
The Penguin Colonies of Planet Houston respectfully ask for you to scale back your request.
Thank you.

You shall pay for your impudence. Sentient, Please allow me to introduce myself. I am the Space Ranger, assistant Chief of Security here on Legion World and I have strong views about the appropriateness of threat making. However when you are dealing with Abin... Bah!!! Threat making is an integral part of the negotiating process. Tell your boss that I am prepared to support provisions abolishing the Office of Security, if my constituents legitimate aspirations are not realized.

***Greetings! I, Queen Connie, am here to represent the felines of Legion World. We, of course, recognize that humans don't understand the truth of their existence. Which is that felines are in charge of everything of importance. We allow you to play these games and make believe you have things to decide because it amuses us to see all the silliness you can come up with.
Carry on! Entertain us!

Reboot and Vee - Let me make myself as clear as possible: I'm willing to compromise and I want to work with all of you. Especially Reboot. Please, please, feel free to give me your opinions on what can be added that can make the SO easier to trust.
But given the past Dark Stu Saga and other things, I firmly believe the current LMB leader should have NO power over the SO whatsoever--it's an independent entity. But I'm open to discussions about other commitees, etc.
Here's an idea to consider:
I will Chair a 'Security Committee' which meets four times a year to discuss various issues, the main one being if the SO has crossed the line in any way. Also on this committee is Space Ranger and Matlock, the two other highest ranking members. In addition to them would be at least three LMBers, one or two being former LMB leaders or deputy leaders. I will also state that I firmly want Reboot on this committee, because his opinions are vastly different than mine, and the two of us have made no bones about that publicly--as much as we find each other disagreeable, I believe there has to be a certain amount of mutual respect in being able to stay in the game without hindering all this time. Vee, someone like you, whose been around for the duration of LW (almost) and has been a past leader would be great on this committee. Further, someone who has not been leader, like Luna, Vu or whoever, would be good, as they bring fresh eyes to the table.
What are your thoughts on that? I hope you can see by this statement, my utter willingness to compromise.
I do not want to even consider budging on losing my role as Chief of Security for life though, I'll be honest and up front about that. Is this your concern Reboot? If we add in a clause making that title answerable to the committee, won't that negate any negative feelings about that issue?
The time for controversy, I agree, is long past. Now is the time for a discussion to help 'build'.

Truth and Justice shall Prevail! (Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho It's Off To Work We Go!) Thank you Ranger. I'm glad you're here--in the past, you've proven to be impeccable as a strait shooter who doesn't beat around the bush in fear of offending someone. Not to mention, you have very distinct views of right and wrong, and I feel this will entice some good debate.
