I'd like to put a clause in that those deemed fabulous by me (as the authority in what is fabulous) are not required to speak to or otherwise interact with those not deemed fabulous by me. In cases of appeal then Spellbinder will be deemed fabulous enough herself to give a second opinion.

I'd also like to put in a clause that porcupines and Brads are all the property of me (like the way all sawns are property of the queen in the UK)and that while they may be considered property and subject to me that they will also be considered equal citizens of Legion World as everyone else (accepting the above clause about being fabulous).

These aren't issues of snobbery you realise, they are issues of health. Not being fabulous cause severe strain on the eyes and the nervous system. it has been proved by a highly respected board of scientists (ie: me, two Brads and a porcupine wearing a lab coat).

Couldn't there be an exception for members being automatically deemed fabulous after 2:00 a.m. local time.

You know Bevis, I was considering hiring a porcupine as an intern at the Security Office. His resume was quite impressive (he personally shot his quills at the Red Bee under your directive).

Hmmm.....

No. Everyone will just have to be deemed unfabulous until either I or Spellbinder are around to deem you as such. There may also have to be some form of review process so that those deemed unfabulous can redeem themselves and be deemed fabulous and those previously deemed fabulous who then sully their reputation in some way (wearing pink fake fur or stripes and spots at the same time for example) can have their fabulous rating removed.

Oooh, and that would give me an excuse to reopen the Courtroom again.

They're very useful are porcupines. Their little feet aren't very good at holding pens and they are very hard to housetrain (but I'm sure you know all about problems with housetraining what with some of the security officers and all) but no-one scares away irate LMBPers better than a porcupine in a little security hat.

NO I DEMAND a simplified constitution, limiting the powers of the governing authority over our affairs.

Governing Authority

Shall consist of a leader and deputy leader selected in a manner to be determined.

Powers of the Governing Authority

* The sole duties and powers of the Governing Authority shall be limited to the registration and enforcement of individual property rights.

Definition of Individual Property

* Individual Property is limited to Perpetual Franchises granted by the Governing Authority. At present these include the Office of Security, Evil Consultancy... of Space, the Cafe, the Bar etc.

* Nothing in this document shall be taken that these franchises are in any way exclusive or monopolistic unless otherwise stated in an individual franchise's founding charter.

********
Charters for Individual Franchises.

But Tamper--you're not taking into account years of history! There's a great deal of private property already out there and the constitution cannot undo anything! The Real Estate offices already own 84.6% of LW's property! laugh

Jeepers, this whole evil genius thing might bring up all kinds of issues we didn't even consider!

I would like to make the suggestion that we adopt the teaching of the great Greg Evigan as the basis for this constitution. I believe the success we have had with Autonomous Region of Greg Evigan Island could serve as a model for all Legion World.

They can be given the land franchise...

Hey if the King of England can grant a company, all the land where the water flows into Hudson's Bay, we can create Charters to reflect historical property claims.

Cobie, you don't fear the wrath of PETA? I mean all those children could give the lions tummy aches.

I strongly object to Cobie's attempt to impose his own warlike values as a paradigm for the rest of the community to follow! Sheath the sword and take up the plow, I say!

By the Beard of LardLad!!! You dare defy me, fellow Triumvir?

<unsheaths sword>

I--<notices no one is amused>

I...will make some concessions for the good of the LMB, if I have to. I concede there will be no child-feeding or warlike sacrifices.

May I make a plea for protection of the sentient avians, particularly the Penguin Colonies? Their needs are not many, just good fishing waters.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

For my part of the compromise, I will drop my insistence that every meeting of the new Legion World government begin with a three-hour ritual recitation of epic poety reflecting on our oneness with the glowworm!

Okay, all you eager beavers, let's let all the delegates get here to the convention before we start writing the thing! laugh

I suggest Monday morning to officially open the LMB Constitutional Convention at the Great Hall.

Until then, we should throw a wild party complete with debauchery to welcome all the delegates as they arrive from parts unknown!!!
