In true constitution writing style I demand that the delegates take the "serment du jeu de paume" (tennis court oath) proclaiming our sovereignty and our our pledge not to abandon this tread until the work of institution building is done.

Originally posted by Cobalt Kid: Just to be sure we settle some of the easy things first, here’s the Security Office Clause which remains an important institutional part of the way things are operated.
The Security Office Clause:The Security Office, which shall act to safeguard Legion World from unlawful action and malevolent intent, shall maintain a presence on Legion World at all times. Staffed by members of the LMB, it shall defer to the judgment of the acting LMB Leader, LMB Deputy Leader and general consensus of the LMB at large when direct orders are given. However, it remains its own separate entity in regards to its mission to protect Legion World. Addendum #1: Cobalt Kid shall be Chief of Security for the duration of his lifetime, and cannot be removed in anyway or form. The LMB Leader or LMB Deputy Leader has no power whatsoever in removing the Chief of Security, as he acts as one of the many checks and balances against the executive branch of the LMB. Addendum #2 (often referred to as the ‘Dark Stu Clause’): If the High Ranking Security Officers feel that the LMB Leader is not acting on his own will, or is acting against the moral character of the entity known as the LMB, they may choose to disobey direct orders from the leader, with no risk at all to their job security or safety. Addendum #3: If the Office of Security is unable to differentiate between any laws that may act against one another, it shall be up to the Chief of Security to present a written report to the LMB Leader, the Chief Magistrate to be sorted out accordingly. I figure we get the easy ones out of the way, we can get to the Real Issue or two at hand I feel, to the surprise - I'm sure - of no-one - especially Cobalt who, I feel, has done this, in fact, with the explicit intention of provoking me - that this clause, as presented, grants too much power to the Security Office and needs thorough debate. By those not already bribed by or in bed with (figuratively OR literally) Cobalt.

Hey Canada is a leader in the field of assymetrical federalism. I understand we've exported our experts to Iraq to help them with the concept which in our country has been described as "Two Nations at war in the bosom of a single state."
With any luck our constitutional law people will bore the them into ending the insurgency and we can not let them back into our country.

OK, I'm bored of representing a tree now. Druken debauchery sounds good but what I really want to do is form secret alliances with other delegates in teh hopes of furthering my own interests on Legion World (ie: get the Red Light Lounge extended). I'm just going to step into this secret alcove for a moment and maybe if in the shadows there's another delegate or two looking to form a special connection...
No db, not that kind of connection. Put your pants back on.
Now, I'm just going to stand here and not plot with anyone else...
Truth and Justice shall Prevail! (Unless Tamper Lad Screws it up...)

Reboot, some thoughts, before things really get under way: - I would actually like to work with you for ways to further make the Security Office available to outside opinions. And I do mean you specifically. Perhaps, and I guess its a big perhaps, this convention can end our long feud? - But I will not budge on anything already stated. It has a history, and a good one, and I feel it works. The LMB Leader will never have any power, and I mean none whatsoever, over the Security Office. Perhaps a third party entity, run by yourself, could have some type of 'audit' status, that allows you full access to all files, which you can then take to the 'former LMB leader' council? Or something like that. Real Life Disclaimer - And jeepers folks! Taking that away from me would be like taking SHAKES from Semi, Cafe Cramer from FC or Kid Prime's Room from Kid Prime. It just wouldn't be fair. I put a lot of time and effort in there over the last two years

Mayavale would like to offer his services to this convention. He has much experience at this sort of thing. You may know that in one lifetime he was known as Alexander Hamilton!
