Because we should have one, and because the sooner plans can be nailed down, the better.

Well, yeah. But I meant dressing up and all that jazz!! And, like, in RL. I mean, if I can't go to Con, how'm I gonna meet Geoff Johns and convince him to marry me?? I can't leave stuff like that up to chance!!

Assuming that you would fly from Cali to Boston, you'd only miss one day of school. Fly in Thursday night, fly home Sunday. I do have some floor space available in my apartment.

Well, usually I just wait until Pov and everyone sorts these things out . But I will definitely be in attendance! I can’t wait to meet everyone who I haven’t, and see everyone I have again! Like I said, I’ll see what Pov, Quis, everyone want to do for logistics, but I’m fully committed! (to going, not in the ‘fully committed’/asylum reference). So—shall we expect to see Faraway Lad in attendance?! And I know Loser Lad is going to try to do everything in his power to make it down. Can’t wait to meet you in person, Miner!

Aww, you're so nice to offer, but I don't think the cost of airfare to Massachusetts would fly with the 'rents (who are currently my largest monetary providers) because I'm going to MA a couple weeks before for family stuff AND I bullied them into letting me take a side trip to Colombus for a weekend while we're there. So... yeah. Maybe next year. Or if I have some sort of sudden windfall -- that'd work too.

I'll be there, barring some catastrophe. What needs to be planned? A place to meet?

That would be a good idea. At Dallas, we used the DC booth as a meeting point.
I have been thinking of restaurants we could go to on Friday & Saturday nights. (chea..er inexpensive but nice)

Since so many of us are planning to attend, maybe we could find a hotel outside of Boston (which might be a little cheaper) where we could all stay. We could then carpool back and forth to the convention. If people don't mind sharing accommodations, we could always get double rooms that might sleep 3 or 4 people each, thereby cutting the costs down even more
Some people are like slinkys: not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you knock them down a flight of stairs

Well, I won't need a hotel room. (I live a 15 minute walk from the convention center) I have offered a limited floor space to those who might need it. (the cost is cheap at twice the price ) Pov also offered floor space at his place and plans to drive into Boston each day. I think Faraway Lad has already booked a hotel room or plans to get a fly and stay package deal. And Portfolio Boy was planning on staying at the Double Tree which is right at the convention center.

Have no Fear I shall Return! What miss the chance to hang out with you lot again, Never! I just hope Des brings his drinking head. As for accomodation I got a package with a B&B but as I'm at work at the moment and cant remember the name. But Boston has a good subwway system so I can get around pretty good. I'm arriving Thursday and flying out on the Monday.
Faithfull
