And who asked you to be "positive for positivity's sake"? You could just as easily turn it around...

Your original statement could have been read another way. It could mean that you have a certain level of enthusiasm because it's a Legion book but that it won't grow until you see the actual product. Heck, that could just be to protect you from being disappointed if it turns out not to be something you like.

Someone remembered Devil Face. He was not a Legionaire but according to the Funeral Rocket he was a hero. We are assuming that the black guy is Thom Kallor. What if he is the new, reimagined James Cullen. Stars can also be a symbol for Quantum. bsl

bryan, I hope this is not the case for one reason. There is some evidence that links Danny Blaine Starman to the 31st Century. If James Cullen is using the name Starman, there's always that chance that he'll be killed off so that Thom Kallor/Danny Blaine can assume the role and fit in with what we "know" about the 21st Century. I'd rather this is just a reimagined Thom.

Yeah but could the Thom we knew find a way out of the hypertime-tunnel and becomes the Starman we've read about in the Starman series?
Since the PTB have decided the future is no longer engraved in stone we get to imagine any future we want instead of being lockstepped into the inevitable.
I'm all for that. Maybe this Brainiac will be a universe traveler instead of a time traveler like we've seen before. I've begun to wonder if Mark Waid might start exploring the Hypertime concept where other writers have explored the timestream. If this is the case then hypothetically ALL Legionnaires are possible and it's only a matter of time (heh) before they see a little on-panel action.
It's just a random thought, everything's a guess until we have a few issues in our hands.

While I don't disagree that it's possible postboot Starboy will assume that role, I think it's unlikely. My feeling is that the postboot Legion is effectively being swept under the rug, even if they're "out there" somewhere in Hypertime.

I'm not usually a fan of rebooting established characters (eg:"Sensor Snake"), but this Star Boy looks really cool!!!

There wasn't a "real" Legion. It was revealed that they were the result of a time split by the Time Trapper. Neither team was any more real than the other; they were both the Legion.

Supposedly, we were going to find out that the SW6 team was the original Legion while the adults were clones. Fortunately, that never happened. (I'd hate to think that the "real" Garth was a worthless jerk while the "fake" Garth was a decent guy.)

I'm with you Ferro. I came to really like the elder Garth. He was like an old warrior that had found peace. In the last batch of pre-ZH stories he was like the Legion's Dad or something, there was still lightning in his eyes but also there was warmth in his heart and the courage to face the universe on it's own terms at the end.
I liked him a lot. Whereas the arrogant young Livewire just didn't do a lot for me.
