This one cab driver was extremely aggressive, and almost ran over several people while I was in the cab -- at one time, making a right turn and actually brushing against someone trying to cross the street. When I asked him whether he was going to stop to see if the person was OK, the cab driver threatened me with bodily injury.
PBM, what's the farthest you've ever traveled in a cab?

about 35 miles.
I got stranded in Albany one Sunday night (a coupla years ago, at a time when I had no car). I thought there was one more train home (there wasn't), and I couldn't reach any friends. I had to tak a cab back to Hudson (my hometown, where I was living at the time). It was less than $40, not as bad as I expected.
PBM, have you ever shared a cab with strangers - and regretted it? and why, what happened?
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

No, but I had to fight a woman who wanted to get in the cab I had booked because she didn't want to walk to the taxi stand. She was pished and talking on her mobile phone all the while. After trying to get in the cab forcefully, she was removed by the cab triver who left her on the pavement in Edinburgh.
PBM, have you ever travelled in foreign countries?

Yes. I've been to Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand,Korea, and The Philippines. Also Jamaica, the Caymans, and the Bahamas. PBM, what foreign country would you like to visit?

New Orleans. My favorite city. There is so much to do and see there that even a week isn't enough time. I'd like to spend a winter there.
PBM, what is your favorite city?

Well, I've already been there, done that.... I used to live in Paris and then I moved to Seattle, WA for two years for my job (with Wizards of the Coast), and after that, I moved back to Europe, but decided to move to Edinburgh, Scotland, the most beaitiful city in Europe (well, it's a tie with Paris)... If I had to change country again.... ? Maybe Québec... but it's so cold up there... I hear it's snowing in Montréal today.
PBM, would you like to come and visit me in Scotland?

Well I've been to Scotland (Aberdeen) but spent one day in Edinburgh. I wouldn't mind going back for a visit and meeting up with the Scottish Legion Worlders.

I have the innate ability to humiliate and belittle my boss in front of a warehouse full of people and not get fired! It's a gift, I know.

It's a tossup. (1) A woman named Candace who worked her way up from student clerk to Deputy Director of a large government program. She was very good at balancing being a worker and a mentor.
(2) The professor who dealt with incoming graduate students told us "here's the book you're teaching from, for God's sake use it, the freshmen have to buy it anyway, and don't have sex with your students."
PBM, choose any one of the PBM questions from the past two days and answer it?

Day - I love to see the sun come up (but only if it's because I got up early). I hate to stay up all night.

First I'd take a 6 months vacation to England, Europe, & Austrailia (meeting various Legion Worlders in those places)
Then, I'd make gifts to my nieces & nephews.
After that, consult a financial advisor so that I wouldn't have to work but could do pro bono work 24-7.
PBM, What would you do?

I'd move back to Canada to take advantage of the exchange rate, and be close to my family. Then I'd buy a house in the Forest Hills neighbourhood of Toronto. The rest I would put in trust and the income would go to support me, two of my brothers, my sister, and my mom. I'd want to be certain that they would be secure for the rest of their lives. I'd probably get a winter home in the Carribean as well.

Non-linear functional analysis homework. Wrote it all in reverse right to left in a "Clifford the Big Red Dog" book. Got to present my proof in class the next day. I decided to write it in reverse on the blackboard, but left out the parts about Emily Elizabeth.
PBM, it's a perfect day to be at the beach, what's the water like?

God. There are so many. I already told the one about him locking me out of the room while I was wearing only a towel (first day of Freshman year), so I'll have to give you a new one. Let's see, his girlfriend dumped him one time (they got back together later). Not only did he sit in the room weeping for an entire weekend, he kept one song ("Ordinary World" by Duran Duran - it was "their song"...) on endless repeat on his CD player the entire weekend. One song, over and over for 48 straight hours! My God I wanted to kill him. I still break out in hives every time I hear the slightest little bit of that goddamn song... PBM, are you honored to have the last post on this thread before it needs to be locked (2500 post limit and all)?!?
