It looks to me like Shady might be just a little bit darker. That's a definite plus. As for the length of her cape, I wasn't nearly as worried about it was Shady as I was with Lu. I really hope Lu's cape shrinks quite a bit.

Cru, I think one of the sample pages had a noticeably long cape for Star Boy but that make just be when he's flyin' around doin' his starry things. I think it was from a issue 2 page wasn't it?

There's someone who looks like he's wearing a metal mask in the blue bit just over Star Boy's shoulder? Could that be Ferro Lad? Might be wrong I don't know.

The upper puplish blue wedge of the cover looks it has a tasty monkey wearing a helmet and a dinosaur of some sort?

Could be STF! It's kind of ambiguous what the figure looks like. It sort of looks to me like a humanoid figure in a metal helmet, but it's just as likely that you are right. Could be way out. I don't see a feline type creature myself. It looks kind of dinosaur-ish. It's all really subjective isnt it!  I thought the insignia on the figure's front, the little I could see of it reminded me of Mano's hand insignia but then of course I remembered that Barry said on here that there will be no old villains for the time being! I probably am completely wrong! Still it's fun trying to guess who it is isn't it?

My guess is, the monkey's Koko! As for the lizard-dinosaur-cat-thing... maybe there's still a planet filled with snake and raccoon creatures in the new boot?
On the serious side, I like Star Boy's costume a lot more here, without the CG razzmataz.

This cover definitely makes me think Star Boy got the best of the redesigns. It's clean and uncluttered, very iconic and references past costumes. Lush.
Glad Tasmia looks bluer. She could do with getting some sun, then maybe she'd go a nice shade of dark blue.

Clockwise for the panel-scenarios... 12 noon (or midnight): Gas Girl!!!! 2 o'clock: Lightning Lad or Lord? 3 o'clock: Is that a ship/cruiser or Sun Boy? Or Quislet!? 5 o'clock: Monocle-wearing menace looming over a blue-tinted cityscape... hmmmm. Is that Talok VIII (or whatever Shadow Lass' homeworld will be...)? Looks like Universo, but we've been told not... 7 o'clock: yellow cityscape with objects in the sky... looks peaceful enough. 9 o'clock: Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy bathed in pinkish light. 11 o'clock: I thought it was Howard the Duck mixed with Validus! There's a chest emblem of some sort. A Green Lantern? The other individual looks lizardy/dinosaurian... possibly they're underwater. I always like these multiple image covers... they usually make me wonder about what's what inside the issue. Nice work. Star Boy and Shadow Lass look great! Though I liked her hair better in the preview's concluding splash page. Todd
